I have these trousers made in two different materials: Teclite and cotton. Teclite is better for me as the rain tends to run off them even after 20 plus washes, so it must be something about the material rather than a coating, which usually are washed out within a few washes. The other attraction is that these trousers are so tough. They will last for years and still look good. This is my 6th pair and I have a 7th on order, which speaks volumes. Warm or cold water. I dry mine on delicate only because it provides the best wrinkle free drying, but they are tough pants and would do fine on the regular cycle. Quality pants, they wash and dry well. **Q: Is the item durable?** A: I have owned two pairs of these pants and am now replacing one pair due to a tear from a very sharp edge not a defect in the pant. I have owned these two pair since 2016 and wear them at least 4 times a week. They virtually look new in terms of stitching and fabric wear. Excellent quality and durability. Fit is excellent as well with the forgiving expandable waist (great for concealed carry use as well). Would definitely recommend. **Q: How big are the belt loops? 1.75"?** A: The belt loops are slightly larger than 1.75". There are enough pockets without going over the top.. The durability is second to non and very light weight.. The size did come up a little bigger than I'd have liked I've had 42" waist and leg before for just a little added movement in them and found the seat was a little bigger than I expected so order to exact size specs.. I'll definitely be buying these again.. Very smart durable and suits my every need for a good all round year trouser..
