Q: Can I paint over this stuff with outdoor masonry paint? if so, what time period should i let the water sealant dry for before i apply the paint?

Yes you can paint over it with this sort of paint the seal will just act as an extra weather protector. Probably say 24/48 hours to put paint over it to make sure depending on weather conditions.

Q: Can this be applied with a spray gun or does it have to be applied with a brush or a roller?

Used this on the rear brick elevation of the house last summer, I don't think you would get an effective cover using a spray gun. The product is very "thin", I would have thought it would run whereas a brush gives the opportunity to brush it into the brick facing and mortar joints.

Q: If I use it to seal brick work on an internal wall will it still be able to provide a key for plastering over it?

Rest Express - Wood Finishing Products: It would have quite a strong smell so it would not be recommended for internal use. I would also think think it would inhibit the adhesion of the plaster.

Q: Can Thompson seal be aplied ontop of masonry paint

Possibly but why? Would'nt it be more effective to add an additional coat of masonry paint to your existing surface, it would probably be more effective.
