If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And this one is…So, I didn’t want to buy the authentic filter for the OxyPure from them through their Amazon store, because in my opinion, it’s ridiculous to charge $600 for an air purifier, and then $50 for one of the filters which requires frequent replacement (way more frequently than the 6 months to a year that the manual suggests).Anywho… I ran across these HEPA + activated charcoal filters that were advertised as being compatible with the OxyPure air purifier and half the price of the replacement offered by OxyPure themselves on their Amazon store.While they DO fit the machine, you can clearly see from my photo that the activated charcoal portion of the filter, which plays a very important role in removing odors, is a fraction of the depth that it is on the original filter that came in the machine.I should have just let OxyPure rip me off for yet another fifty bucks, and purchased a replaced filter from their Amazon store, instead of wasting my money on these.Lesson learned.
