Coffee at a decent hot temp for two hours
Perfect percolator. Keeps coffee decently hot for two hours after making it. You just need to be patient it takes about ten minutes to brew then let it sit so the coffee runs thru the filter that’s there a few more minutes then take out the filter and your set. Yes it’s old school but makes a really smooth coffee. I wanted something to keep my coffee hot the coffee makers plate warmers go out within a month and coffee has to be microwaved to up the temp again. I do recommend however you will get a few coffee grounds I use a filter mostly sometimes not. The metal filter after making will be hot so be careful and use a cloth towel to remove. If you don’t remove it you will notice more coffee grinds. All in all it’s something I remembered from my youth and have enjoyed because my coffee made actually stays a decent hot temp and I’m not having to microwave my cup of coffee anymore.

Great Percolator!
I liked the previous one so well that I purchased another one even though the previous one works just fine. This one is great too. With the previous one, the top glass part cracked after multiple uses daily for 2 1/2 years. They were quick to replace the part under warranty and easy to deal with about it. It brews perfect coffee and is healthier without all the plastic parts being exposed to hot water. It is pricier than other brands but the high quality makes it a real value.

Makes great coffee
A a great choice for a healthier way to make coffee, keeps its warm and has great flavor…the only problem is that you have to remember to unplug it as it has no auto shut off.

Replacement
I had the same Cuisinart coffee percolator for 6 yrs. Accidentally dropped it. And bent the spot. I bought it again. Very happy with it. Works great coffee is I think better then a drip coffee maker. Only thing I noticed it cleaning. Th inside rim on my old one was more rounded. This one has more of an unfinished edge. Just have to be a little careful cleaning around the top.

Bad
I could not wait to get my percolator. I have been wanting to go back to the old style for many years. I have tried using this twice thinking that maybe I was having a learning curve both times it turned out horrible. Both cups of coffee were full of coffee grinds in the bottom of my coffee cup, and the coffee was extremely weak. It was also very noisy and shook so badly. I thought it would fall off the countertop. It definitely does not have the good flavor that my mother‘s old-fashioned percolator had. I believe she had something called West Bend, which I don’t even think they make anymore, and there was absolutely no plastic in that percolator. I will be sending this back. I bought this one because of the lack of plastic it had in it. But the lid is made of aluminum, which is not good for us and the glass ball is actually made of plastic so all the hot coffee goes up into that plastic, which is what I’m trying to get away from. I will be returning it this week. Would love to find an old-fashioned percolator made with the steel body and glass domes. That actually makes good coffee and does not have the grinds falling into the coffee water.

Love this percolator
LOVE this percolator. I bought one of these 3+ years ago. Percolating makes much better coffee than auto drip and doesnt burn it as it sits. (If you stopped percolating in the 70s because it took too long vs new auto drip option, they percolate faster now) My pot had heavy daily use, about two pots a day for the household, and has lasted this long. Surprisingly lightweight. Excellent quality parts. Still keeps its shine even after 3 years. I did notice recently a little ring of coffee around the base as it sat so probably a little crack starting somewhere after being set down a couple of thousand times. Definitely always hand wash everything. I did come on Amazon wondering if there is anything better for what I want (I like a glass perc top not a solid one, for example) and no. This is a great percolator! Edit: I was wrong! No leak. Keeping new and storing old "just in case". A great percolator!

Great tasting Coffee with Cuisinart Classic 12 Cup Percolator
We bought a Cuisinart Classic 12 Cup Percolator in Dec of 2023. We purchased another one in July 2025. Unfortunately, the percolator only lasted 2 years. The glass bulb on the cover came apart. To replace it, the cost was $45. A new percolator was $100; therefore we opted for a newer machine. The newer percolator seems to have been updated. It looks like the cover is sturdier (time will tell) and the bolt inside the bottom of the percolator is steel and not rubber-both good upgrades. The machine itself makes good coffee compared to a drip machine-smoother tasting. The percolator is streamlined so it fits better on the counter and looks sleek compared to a bulky drip machine. It has a nice elongated spout which adds to the sleekness of the machine. Looking at all the other percolators on Amazon, this still seems to be the best considering the reviews the other percolators got, thus the reason for ordering this model again. If the cover didn't break after 2 years I would have given it 4 stars. (5 stars if the numbers were easier to read on the fill lines).

Classic Look — Tasty Coffee Ready Quickly
We're very happy with our Cuisinart Classic 12-Cup Percolator. The stainless steel exterior is exquisite and it's throwback look is a great addition to our kitchen decor. We appreciate its simple and classic mid-20th century design. The percolator cooks a very tasty pot of coffee quickly and we've enjoyed it every morning since it arrived. Just in case a product manager is interested, we think it would be great if the body of this was insulated to keep the coffee warm without the need to apply continuous electric heat to it. We're happy to recommend the Cuisinart Classic 12-Cup Percolator.
