JVC GY-HM70 Professional Camcorder - Black (12MP, 10x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD

The jvc is a brilliant video camera I only think they should give a bigger BATTERY with it. I ordered it because I go to a lot of Air shows

Focus is slow to react as is aperture setting on auto. It has a very good monitor and that is useful in all light conditions, it swivels in all directions so can be monitored from any position front, rear, side, overhead etc. One very bad design point - it has the Microphone plug towards the back of the camera - when the mic mounts at the front, so the wire gets in the way when carrying, picking up or operating. I have ended up with insulating tape securing the wire to the right side of the handle to keep it out of the way. The covers for the dc charger etc are very crude and don't fit well. Onto the end results, normal use, ok but when focusing over water it needs to be manually operated (duck on a lake for example), it has no choices for focussing spot or general either. It is relatively light though and easy to use - the menus are good, external switches positive apart from on/off switch that is rather small and fragile. In time lapse it works well, but slow motion is VERY degraded and works at all only on low quality video and that is rather a shame. Generally, just about worth it's price and good for close shots, weddings but the zoom is not so good for nature shots, it is ok on landscapes though. It is always shown as having a mic with dead cat fitted (particularly on Amazon, probably the seller's fault) but this does not come with the camera (Sony equivalent (HXR-MC2000 does and also gives better results overall) so there is further food for thought. Anyone who advertises ANYTHING using a photo - should show the item as it is NOT how it looks with all accessories fitted.

Does everything it says on the tin. I am looking for a remote control for the zoom or LANC control when using it on a tripod, does anyone have one, a recommended model would be appreciated, i only need zoom control record stop/start not nessasary. Thanks in anticipation

Disappointed only one battery There clearly appears a shortage of supply question ask in still available (supplier requested) disappointed no microphone also clearly appears must be JVC type no connection for shoe models cable over all model should turn out to be are ideal unit for company filming. Zoom eccezionale, luminosità al top . Ovviamente in condizioni di luce scarsa si comporta come tutte le telecamere. Buon prezzo. Molto versatile sia per utilizzo in studio che in esterna. Per un uso più tv che altro. Non credo adatta per utilizzi in cui serva poco ingombro

Muy muy muy contento con este producto! Me encanta, me dedico a producción para TV y perfecto. Calidad 10, comodidad y estabilidad 10! NO RECOMIENDO A GENTE que la quiera utilizar para vídeos artisticos.. (bodas etc...) por lo demas! Recomendadissima

6 mois après mon achat je me permet de l'évaluer , en GENERAL j'en suis satisfait , très bonne camera pour filmer tout événement et même à basse lumière elle fait son job je la recommande.

Super Kaufabwicklung und Versand. Kamera war etwas verstaubt und musste gereinigt werden. Aber technisch ohne Mängel und mit 5 (!) Akkus, inklusive zwei Akku-Ladegeräte. Vielen Dank. Bin sehr zufrieden

Seit 1981 ist filmen mein Hobby. Nun habe ich den Schritt getan mir Technik aus den semiprofessionellen Bereich zuzulegen. Nach wälzen von Fachzeitschriften und Kommentaren, Unterhaltung und Abwägungen mit Profis habe ich mich für die JVC GY-HM70E entschieden. Bin ab der 1. Minute begeistert und der Preis stimmt dazu auch noch. Super Handhabung und das was im semiprof. Bereich erforderlich ist an Einstellungen ist vorhanden bzw. habe ich bei meinen Tests noch nichts vermisst. Die Fachzeitschriftbewertungen fand ich bestätigt. Top Ergebnis beim 1. Einsatz - zwar schon mit LED-Filmleuchte und Richtmikro ausgerüstet. Aber auch ohne Filmleuchte sind die Ergebnisse in Räumen mit schlechten Lichtverhältnissen unglaublich super!!! Mein bisheriger, vor 2 Jahren für 700 € erworbener Camcorder, kann da nicht annähernd mithalten - Pixel, Rauschen etc.
