I have looked for a small "soft vise" for my bench and can't justify the expense. These soft jaws are the answer. Lower cost and keeps more room on the bench. They attach magnetically and stay in place. Don't forget to remove them when dealing with high temperature items. These plastic jaws are able to handle metal down to plastic without marking up the finish. Definitely a needed item for most DIY folks.

Plastic is fairly soft but I guess thats whole point. Magnets do a good job of holding it in place. I've used many times and will buy again if needed.

everyone that has a vise should have vise jaws to protect the thing you clamp. The vise I have is new 6" jaws. Works great. The jaws arrive today. Just put them on they are magnetic inside and plastic outside. Which means they stay in place and not damage the item. If you have a vise and like to mess around your need a pair of vise jaws.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fit my vise perfectly and they performed exactly as I needed. Protected some more delicate items from the all metal jaws on my vice. Would definitely recommend. I also didn't realize how useful the blue set would be in holding things. For example, I used the circular notched cutout to hold a hose I needed to repair and it was a gamechanger. Highly recommend these if you have a 4.5" vise like I do.

These are great but... They fit my vice perfectly, the magnets hold very well and the grooves to hold different shapes are fantastic. The pads will really protect sensitive items held in the jaws. The only drawback is that the pads are wide and really narrow up my vice jaw opening. I found this out yesterday when I tried to use them while waxing my skis. With the pads in the jaws to protect the skis, the skis were too wide for the open space between the jaws.

These vise jaw pads work well for holding my trumpet repair tools. The grooved pads securely hold mandrels, rollers, and dent repair rods of various diameters either horizontally or vertically without marring. The other pads hold my wooden assembly mandrel.
