Easy to carry around. Sounds not exactly like saxophone, but still got a little bit of it. People said change the mouthpiece and the reeds will make a difference. Got a jsax before this, reason to getting Venova is jsax can only play from C to high F ( high G is not always can play) Venova got a larger range. When first playing Venova, it is hard to make a sound. But because got jsax not long ago and know it is the same when first start, so just keep on trying and once getting used to it and it will be alright. Venova sounds louder than the jsax, So if you don’t like loud instruments then you have to think about it before getting it. Overall quite happy with the Venova. Try not to push the mouthpiece all the way in and leave a little gap in between the body and the mouthpiece will help the making sound.

Item arrived fast but the mouthpiece is chipped even with the cover. Can I get a mouthpiece replacement then I don't need to return the whole instrument? Thx.

Wow! I couldn’t be more pleased with this instrument! It requires some getting used to but once you’ve picked up the basics it’s fairly easy to make a good sound.

I was quite excited about getting this. I fully expected something from Yamaha to be excellent. Now, it could be just me, but I'm finding it to be (i) very difficult to play and (ii) not well intoned. In particular, the F# is way out no matter what adjustments I make to my embouchure. I had hoped that this was going to be an upgrade from my Nuvo J-Sax. It isn't. The J-Sax is much easier to play, is very well intoned and sounds nicer. Having said all that, there are plenty of YouTube videos showing people getting a decent sound; maybe it's just me. But I couldn't be bothered putting the time and effort into this when I have my J-Sax that is much more fun.

An unusual looking instrument but rather beautiful, a cross between a saxophone and clarinet, not so many keys as a clarinet, uses a Reed, seller provides a resin Reed with it. It is rather difficult to blow and get a consistent tone but obviously practice will make perfect, I hope! Some people may have difficulty with this.

Purchased for grand daughter now it’s just annoying listening to all the practice, needs head phones.

Insufficient tutelage and a total lack of useful literature. If I knew how to play it fine but this was something to learn with rather than leave on the shelf. Yamaha, you let yourself and me down with this.

Despite the ads, this is not an easy playing/easy listening instrument. It is quite hard to get a sound out of it, and even when you do get there, it is harder even to make it sound right. The volume is very high, meaning that your friends are more likely to cover their ears rather than hum along.

Très léger, idéal pour s'amuser partout. Do-4 à do-6. On retrouve certaines sensations du sax: colonne d'air, embouchure, articulation... Le doigté n'est ni sax ni flûte. Les fa#, sol#, sib sont faux, c'est la bouche qui doit corriger. Très bon exercice pour acquérir de la justesse et entretenir les muscles de la bouche. Je mets un joint épais de 2mm avant le bec qui a tendance à glisser et faire monter l'accordage, ça me cale vers 440. Ce gadget ne vaudra jamais un sax, même un premier prix, mais c'est un bon jouet pour la vadrouille. TRÈS IMPORTANT pour les débutants : Jetez l'anche en plastique ! Elle est là pour raison commerciale au moment de l'achat. Il faut ESSAYER UN MAXIMUM DE MARQUES d'anches (en 2 au début). Certaines vous gêneront dans le grâve ou dans l'aigu, il faut trouver les mieux équilibrées pour vous, et toujours en utiliser plusieurs en alternance. Les tremper dans l'eau quelques minutes avant de jouer et les rincer après avec le bec. L'anche est la partie la plus importante de l'instrument. Ça n'est pas un détail sur lequel on peut passer rapidement. C'est ce qui explique que certains ont un son affreux sur un bon instrument alors que d'autres un son correct sur un bas de gamme. Une dernière chose qui me hérisse depuis des années : LA Hanche est l'articulation fémur/bassin. Il n'y en a pas dans les instruments de musique. Merci ! ;o)

If you have no experience with reed or brass instruments this is not going to be easy to play; it took a few tries to get a sound out. That being said the product came as described in only two days, with its own case and very good quality!

【更新2020/5/10】付属のマウスピース＆リード＆リガチャーは好きな組合せの一つですが、リガチャーやリードが滑りやすく、私は上手く固定出来ません。レジェールリードも同様。そこでマウスピースにノナカさんのマウスピースクッション(0.20mm)を切り貼りして滑止めに(写真)。音響的には分かりませんが、滑止め良好。ネジで締め上げる必要も全然なくなってプラスチックリードも安心して使えそうです♪ ----- 私の場合、軽音の A.Sax で最高音 ファ#(A5) の約1オクターブ上の ミ(G6) が出せればちょっと自慢できるかな〜って感覚でした(アマチュア見栄的に😅)。A.Venova のフラジオはそれをカバー出来ています。本田雅人さんのメガリスにもチャレンジ出来る計算です✨ 低音の方は A.Sax の C#3 迄に対して、A.Venova は F3 迄。鍵盤あと4コ分足りませんが、私には常時使いまくる音域でもないので、不便に思うことはあまりないです🐈 ※ここでは A.Venova の音名は、ドレミ表記は F=ド で、アルファベット表記は実音で書きます。 ■フラジオ運指私案(2020/4/12更新) ‪---凡例‬--- ‪(0):左手親指半開‬（オクターブキー不使用） ‪0,1,2,3:左手親指〜薬指塞ぐ‬ ‪4,5,6,7:右手人差指〜小指塞ぐ‬ (4):右手人指し指半開(キー押さえ、真ん中の小穴を開く)‬ ‪(6),(7):右手薬指,小指半開(片方キー押す)‬ ---------- ド#(F#5)‪ (0)123 (4)567 レ(G5) (0)123 56‬7 レ#(G#5) (0)123 5(6) ミ(A5) (0)12 56 ファ(A#5) (0)12 4567 ファ#(B5) (0)12 45 (7)‬ ソ(C6) (0)1 3 4 (7) ソ#(C#6) (0)1 3 ラ(D6) (0) 23 ラ#(D#6) (0)123 シ(E6) (0)12 ド(F6) (0)1 ド#(F#6) (0)123 レ(G6) (0)1 3 レ#(G#6) (0) 23 ミ(A6) (0)12 ファ(A#6) (0)123 ■最初の感想(2019/9/13) アルトサックスの魅力を、カジュアルな楽器としては十分に保った音色だと思います。 そして右手キーや、想像ですがトーンホールの設計が、ソプラノよりずっと進化したと思います。 アルトの ファ#(B3), ソ#(C#4), シ♭(E♭4), それらの 1オクターブ上の音は、ソプラノの相当のノートのそれより、出しやすさも音程も、ずっと改善されていると思います。 特にソプラノで レ(D5)→ド#(C#5) や ラ(A4)→ラ♭(A♭4) や ソ(G4)→ファ#(F#4) をスラーで吹くと、音の変わり目がハッキリせずポルタメントになってしまってたのが、アルトの相当のノートでは変わり目がハッキリと分かるようになりました。 その代わり、運指はソプラノのそれとはかなり変わりました。特にアルトではバロック設定は廃止されたようです。リコーダー出身者としては少々辛いですが、その運指にこだわるより、結果としての音の出しやすさや音程が改善されたことの方を歓迎したいと思います。 ただし、このままではアルトとソプラノの持ち替え演奏が難しくなるので、ぜひソプラノも同じキーやトーンホール設計に改良して、運指の統一を図っていただきたいと思います。 そんな訳で、アルトヴェノーヴァは音色も吹きやすさも音程もかなり改善されたと思います。私には、今日からこちらがメイン楽器です♪

※まず前提として、私は吹奏楽経験者（打楽器）ではありますが、リード楽器は全くの初心者で、楽器店での試奏のみしか行っていない状態で、ヴェノーヴァを購入したことを御考慮下さい。専門的な話は分かっておりませんし、今回は教則本も購入しておりません。 私はずっとアルトサックスが吹けるようになりたくて、安価なサックスを探していましたが、やはり値段と音は比例するようで、御三家のようなしっかりしたメーカーのサックスは中古でもいい値段でなかなか手が届かずにいました。ある日ネットで”サックスのような音のするプラ楽器”ヴェノーヴァを見つけ、しかも1万円で買えると知り、すぐさま楽器店へと向かい話を聞いてきました。 まずヴェノーヴァ本体を購入すると、プラスチックリードとスワブがついてきます。リードがついているので、とりあえず音を出すことは可能です。スワブもあるので管内の水取りもすぐにできます。何を用意すればいいのかわからない初心者にとってスタートしやすいセットだと思います。 指使いは、リコーダーとほとんど一緒です。半音の出し方は少し難しいですが、全音のみならすぐに馴れると思います。 楽器自体はプラスチックなため、丸洗いもでき、難しい構造では無いので管楽器の「え、ここ持っちゃっていいの？」といった疑問などは無いと思います。 それから音についてですが、私はサックスの音の形とはあんまり似てないかなと思いました。もちろんサックスと言ってもメーカーや吹き方によって全然違うので、一概には言えませんが、ジャズサックスをイメージして買う方は気をつけた方がいいと思います。私の吹いているヴェノーヴァはクラリネットとソプラノサックスの中間みたいな音に聞こえます。単純に腹筋で支え切れてないだけかもしれませんが、初めてリード楽器を始める人は私と同じような音になると思います。なので、サックスの音をイメージして購入すると、期待外れになってしまうかもしれません。 そしてリード楽器初心者にとって最も大事な点、簡単に音が出せるのかどうかですが、 全くの初心者である私の感想を言いますとめっちゃ難しいです。 独学だと口の形が本当にこれでいいのかわからないですし、腹筋が無いので息が続かない。タンギングなんてやったことがないから音が繋がってしまう。リコーダーと指使いが一緒と言いましたが、指はあっていても音が合っているとは限りません。口と息で作らなければいけないので初心者には正確な音を出すことが難しい。特に低音は裏返って全然出せません。 ただし、リードを変えて吹いたところ低音の裏返りは改善しました。悪いことは言わないので、付属のプラスチックリードはやめて葦リードを購入した方が上達への近道です。 それでもやはりリード楽器というのは難しいです。舐めてはいけません。特に社会人になってから楽器を始めようと思っている人は、練習できる時間や環境があるかを考えてからの購入をお勧めします。 私は購入して1か月たちますが、2日に1回のペースで仕事帰りに近くの岬に行って吹いています。まだ寒い時期なので長い時間練習はできませんが、やっと”いのちの名前”のサビ部分が吹けるようになりました。 何でもいいから楽器を始めたい人にとってはとてもやりがいのある楽器だと思います。ただ他に吹いてみたい楽器があるのなら、初心者だからまずはヴェノーヴァからと考えずに最初から好きな楽器を買った方がいいと思います。楽器によって音が違うようにヴェノーヴァはヴェノーヴァという楽器です。他の楽器の代わりにはなれません。私はヴェノーヴァを吹きながらいつもそう感じます。

Tanto en sonido como en forma de tocar, es muy similar a un saxofón soprano pero con digitación aproximada de flauta dulce. Es más complicado de tocar que un saxofón. Es muy complicado conseguir las notas alteradas. Cómo dice en el manual, hay que controlar en la boquilla, la presión y la digitación para lograrlo. Pero se puede conseguir. En cualquier caso, es muchísimo más barato que un saxofón. Al ser de resina y tener pocas clavijas no necesita un gran mantenimiento. Además, la diferencia de peso respecto a un saxofón permite estar mucho más tiempo tocando sin cansarse. Es un poco difícil de limpiar hasta que le coges el truco. Comparte cañas con el saxo soprano, pero no la boquilla. Tiene una forma especial. A mí, me funciona mejor con una caña de madera que con la que trae de plástico, aunque la de plástico es más duradera. Muy cómodo para llevar de viaje o a cualquier sitio.
