Solid Little Workhorse – Great for Hobby Use!
I’ve been using the Fengda air compressor with tank for a few weeks now, mainly for miniature painting and model work, and it’s been absolutely spot on. **Pros:** - **Quiet operation:** This thing hums along nicely without rattling your brain. You could easily use it in an apartment without disturbing anyone. - **Air tank included:** The tank is a game changer — helps deliver consistent pressure and eliminates pulsation. Great for smooth, even airbrushing. - **Auto-stop feature:** Once the tank is full, it shuts off and only kicks in when needed. Saves wear and tear, and keeps things quieter. - **Compact & portable:** Doesn't take up much space and is easy to move around if needed. **Cons:** - **Hose quality is okay, not amazing:** Might want to upgrade to a better hose and fittings if you're going to be using it heavily. - **Takes a bit of time to fill the tank from empty:** Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for hobbyists, whether you're into model painting, nail art, or cake decorating. It’s reliable, doesn’t overheat, and the tank makes a big difference in performance.

Good compressor
Bought as an upgrade from a little mini compressor, this was quick and easy to get going with, seems good and actually relatively quiet.

Good compressor and quiet quiet.
Had this for a few days. Delivery was quick, and very well packed. It's well made and quite quiet. I noticed the top review said the hose quality wasn't good however, it does not come with a hose at all. Which is fine as I was not expecting one based on the images and description.

Works well.
Works fine, but does get hot. keep on top of emptying water from the tank or you will end up with a rust hole like I did.

Great bit of kit just Plug n play
Great little compressor, not too noisy, but I think 47dB is the lowest you'll get for this size and price. Very easy to set up, practically remove packaging, connect air hose and airbrush, plug in and switch on.

Working perfectly for airbrushing models
Oof, this is a big bit of kit. But I read that this is better for starting out airbrushing than one without a tank so this is my first compressor! While the instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired, it's fairly simply to operate. Plug it in, flip the switch on the back and it starts gaining pressure (at least for me if power is connected with the switch in 'on' position you need to flip the switch 'off' and then 'on' again for it to start). Instructions say for your first time run it at max pressure to make sure the auto shut of is working. Sat waiting for pressure to get to 5-bar - it shut itself off which is correct. Then you can set your pressure going forward using the knob (pull up, twist, push back in). Doesn't come with a hose so you'll need one with a 1/8 connector. I bought a 1/8 to 1/8 hose and quick release connector (both IWATA branded parts bought outside of Amazon) for my IWATA Eclipse HP-CS. You don't want to skimp on the hose and connectors but this air compressor so far is great value for money - half the price of a lot of other compressors I've seen.

This is a decent compressor.
So according to the options I have to rate this compressor I will Address each point in turn. 1: For beginners, Uh, I guess so, when I started two years ago, I had a straight, non “tanked” (Meaning it didn’t have a tank to fill with air) And that did me fine. Looking back, I wish I had a tanked compressor, so I would indeed say it’s good starter, but learn what pressures you need for your application. I paint models primarily so my pressures are set between 15-25 psi depending on model size. Dependant on your application you will have to have higher or lower. This will be application specific. 2: Easy to clean. There is really nothing to clean. Attach your hose and airbrush (or whatever air tool you use) and off you pop. My sits under my work station. Might get a little dusty from time to time. In reality, that’s all it’ll need. This seems an odd thing to rate to me. But In short. Yeah. It’s easy to clean but I have left this blank. 3: Easy to use. Simple answer, Yes. Attach hose, air tool, pressurise tank. Which takes about 3 minutes, set pressure. Operate. The pressure dial has a push lock function, so you pull it up to dial it in, push it down to lock it in. Once the tank gets below a certain pressure it’ll refill and so on. It’s also very quiet. I warned my neighbour that I would be testing this (our walls are paper thin) and he didn’t notice at all. Nor did my housemate. So this is a massive bonus. In summary, I am VERY pleased with this purchase. The real test is it’s longevity and that’s a matter of time and time will tell, however initially I can’t fault the compressor at all. So my overall rating is 5/5. Hope this helps! Fen.

Shop around, this was a bargain. Arrived in good time well packed. Was surprised at the excellent quality of the product. Operation is very quiet and pumps up to its maximum pressure of 48psi (4bar) quickly. Ideal for my air brushes and car touch ups. No instructions makes it a little interesting if you have not used a compressor before. Would not hesitate to purchase again.
