Easy to use
Very well made Barlow lenses and fits perfectly. Doesn't cause any image distortion and makes any telescope much more powerful. Comes with a moon filter that makes all the difference to take some glare away. Definitely worth having.

Nice qaulity lens
Good lens for the price fitted perfect and made a huge difference to my scope

Cheap extra mag
This is a compromise Barlow lens. easily sits between eyepiece and scope. Though it's cheap, it's only ok, there's a lot of light loss through it and unless your focal wheels are ultra precise, you'll lose some focus. Kind of useful if you need to get subjects that bit closer but not that bit clearer. This will negate the quality of your eyepiece/mirrors

Just dont
No magnification at all, do not buy, such a disappointment and a waste of money.

Does not work with reflecting telescopes.
This is a budget Barlow lens, works with my refractor but cannot reach focus with my Newtonian. As others have said, not multicoated. Pros: solid construction, thread for T ring. Cons: won't work with reflecting telescopes. No coatings.

Cheap in price, cheap on quality
Offered no greater magnification than my 2x Barlow, the lens does not seem to be coated at all. Did not work with my reflector telescope and unable to focus sharply and did not fit my M42 camera adapter. Item returned.

Garbage. Just a blur won't focus at all. Skywatcher 200p
Does not work with my Skywatcher skyliner 200p dobsonian. Tried my 10mm and 25mm eye pieces and nothing but a blur. Don't waste your money spend a bit more get something decent.

No one noticed that this barlow barely has a 2x magnification?!!!!!
No one noticed that this Barlow barely has a 2x magnification?!!!!! I have a 2x Barlow lens and it does more than this one. I even tried to stack them but then the picture quality have been decreased quiet a lot. I would not recommend to buy it. I had to give one star because it's needed to submit the review. I am sending the item back.

A Must-Have Accessory for Any Stargazer – Elevates Your Telescope Experience! I recently purchased the Starboosa 1.25-Inch 5X Barlow Lens & Moon Filter Kit for Telescope Eyepieces, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best additions I’ve made to my astronomy setup! As an avid stargazer, I’m always on the lookout for accessories that can enhance my viewing experience without breaking the bank, and this kit absolutely delivers on both quality and value. First Impressions and Build Quality Right out of the box, I was impressed with the sturdy construction of both the 5X Barlow lens and the moon filter. The Barlow lens feels solid in hand, with a sleek black finish and clear labeling that reads "5X Barlow Lens – Fully Multi-Coated." The moon filter also has a premium feel, with a threaded design that makes it easy to attach. Both pieces are made to fit standard 1.25-inch telescope eyepieces, which is perfect for my setup (I use a Celestron telescope, for reference). The packaging was secure, and everything arrived in pristine condition, which is always a plus when ordering delicate optical equipment. Performance – Barlow Lens The 5X Barlow lens is the star of this kit (pun intended)! For those unfamiliar, a Barlow lens increases the magnification of your eyepiece by the stated factor—in this case, 5X. I paired this with my 10mm eyepiece, which normally gives me a decent view, and the Barlow transformed it into the equivalent of a 2mm eyepiece, providing incredible magnification. I was able to get jaw-dropping views of Jupiter’s cloud bands and even spotted some of its moons with stunning clarity. The fully multi-coated optics really shine here, as I noticed minimal light loss and no noticeable chromatic aberration, which can sometimes be an issue with lower-quality Barlows. The image remained sharp and bright, even at higher magnifications, which is a testament to the quality of the lens. One thing to note: because this is a 5X Barlow, it does significantly increase magnification, so you’ll need a steady mount and good seeing conditions to get the most out of it. On nights with a bit of atmospheric turbulence, I found it better to switch to a lower-power eyepiece, but that’s more about my telescope’s limitations than the Barlow itself. Performance – Moon Filter The moon filter included in this kit is a game-changer for lunar observation. Without a filter, the moon can be overwhelmingly bright, especially during a full moon, which washes out details like craters and maria. This filter screws easily onto the bottom of my eyepiece, and the difference was immediate. It reduces glare and enhances contrast, allowing me to see fine details on the lunar surface that I’d never noticed before. I spent an entire evening exploring the Sea of Tranquility and the craters along the terminator line, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The filter has a neutral density, which means it doesn’t tint the moon in an unnatural way—just pure, crisp, detailed views. Ease of Use Attaching both the Barlow lens and moon filter to my telescope was a breeze. The Barlow lens slides into the telescope’s focuser (or diagonal, depending on your setup), and then you insert your eyepiece into the Barlow. The moon filter screws onto the threaded end of your eyepiece before you insert it into the focuser or Barlow. It took me less than a minute to set up, and everything fit snugly with no wobbling or misalignment. The 1.25-inch size is standard for most beginner and intermediate telescopes, so compatibility shouldn’t be an issue for most users. Value for Money This kit is an absolute steal for the price. You’re essentially getting two high-quality accessories—a 5X Barlow lens and a moon filter—for the cost of what some brands charge for just one of these items. The fact that it’s an Amazon’s Choice product and has over 100 purchases in the past month speaks to its popularity, and I can see why. It’s a fantastic option for beginners looking to expand their telescope’s capabilities or for seasoned astronomers who want a reliable, budget-friendly addition to their collection. Final Thoughts The Starboosa 1.25-Inch 5X Barlow Lens & Moon Filter Kit has truly elevated my stargazing experience. Whether I’m zooming in on distant planets with the Barlow or marveling at the moon’s intricate details with the filter, this kit has made every night under the stars more enjoyable. The build quality, optical performance, and ease of use are all top-notch, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking to get more out of their telescope. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—this kit is worth every penny and then some. I’m already looking forward to my next clear night to explore more of the cosmos with this fantastic accessory!
