Die Verpolungsschutzdiode liegt parallel zu VCC und GND. Verpolt man aus Versehen die Versorgungsspannung wird diese durch die Diode kurzgeschlossen. Das ist nicht Sinn und Zweck einer Verpolungsschutzdiode.

It works as intended and keeps 24 and 5 volts isolated. Just realize that that the 5v output is normally closed circuit. so when 24 is applied, it opens the circuit.

Husband is using this device to keep the voltages separate so he doesn't burn up his Raspberry PI. It's been working very well for him.

Qualität OK, aber es ist schwer aus der Beschreibung des Verkäufers zu erkennen, dass die Schaltfunktion negierend ist: Also wenn am Eingang keine Spannung anliegt, liegt am Ausgang Spannung an und so weiter.
