Excellent value for money
I got this reamer while on offer for only £25.76, that was delivered from the US too! An absolute bargain for the money. The build quality is second to none, a seriously good piece of kit. Would I have paid 4 times the price? Probably not, but at that price it's a steal!

Model 227 here is the big brother to model 223, which works with up to 1" sch 40 and SDR21 PVC, see my review there for that one. This larger model 227 works just perfectly on 1-1/4" schedule 40 PVC. See my photos here. I don't have a piece of 1-1/2" PVC on hand to try, but this tool should work just fine with that size PVC pipe too, since it is 1-1/2" ID (inner) and 1.90" OD (outer), within the 2-inch spec of the tool. I show a photo of the 223 (small) and 227 (big) side by side! Ha you can see the 227 is a substantial tool, which it needs to be for these larger PVC pipes. From the photos you can see that 1-1/4" PVC pipe is the size of the entire smaller model 223 tool (which won't work), while it just fits right into this bigger model 227. I have before and after photos shown of a chamfer I just did (on the outside edge) and ream (on the inside edge). Especially take a look at that last photo which is done with 10x magnification. The chamfer & ream shows up well. Compare the before and after photos. Clearly the chamfered edge is the one you would want to insert into your PVC fitting, after applying PVC glue to both, to keep from scraping the glue off inside the fitting! FWIW, the small loss of pipe wall thickness due to the small chamfer and ream area doesn't matter a bit for pressurization, since the side of the PVC pipe behind it is what gets bonded inside the PVC fitting. I didn't show it, but a PC canned air keyboard duster blows those PVC shavings right out of both ends of the tool. Not much else to say here other than hit that "add to cart" button to add a quality tool to your collection!

After cutting a large quantity of steel and stainless steel tubes the edges were sharp and likely to cut or scratch people. I could have filed bevels but with many to do it would be very time consuming. The pipe reamer took very little time or effort to remove the rough inner and outer sections from cutting. The end result was excellent and even, unlike the results I usually experience when using files or a grinder. There are many potential ways to do this but for larger tubing, especially stainless steel this is the most efficient method I’ve experienced. The tool seems durable and well made, it would also be good for bevelling stainless steel handrail tubing before joining sections by welding.

I bought it cause,I can actually use it on 1/4 stainless steel tubing.
