GIANTARM Matte PLA, 1.75mm PLA Filament, 1KG Spool(2.2lb), Vacuum Packaging, 3D Printer Filament for Bambu Lab (Matte Navy Blue)

This Giantarm ASA printed great and didn't have any trouble, but printing using ASA is a challenge for some people. I recommend putting it in the dryer as soon as soon as you open it, also be mindful of the settings like bed temp as this material has a tendency lift off the bed. I had good results using a stock pei bedplate with a light coating of glue. I just like using glue to make sure I get good print results. I tried without glue and got the same results. I made many test prints to get my settings dialed in and this is now one of my go to filament for projects. I was very impressed with my results. I would recommend this filament to anyone, just make sure to follow the steps to get great quality prints.

nicely wound and great color match for stone. It's hard to find stone color without speckles in the filament. Get this while its avaliable. It was really hard to find this particular color.

The Giant Arm matte navy PLA has printed beautifully for me. I've included pictures that show how the color looks in different lighting. It's a dark navy blue that can look almost black sometimes (such as in the NASA keychain), and clearly blue others (in the Kaweco case seen outside in daylight). It's a very useful color. It's behaved perfectly in my Bambu A1Mini using default PLA settings. The only annoyance is that the hole through the spool is too big for the AMS Lite, so I had to print an adapter. But otherwise, it's been very good. I would buy more.

I really enjoyed this filament while it worked. The color is clean and consistent. The finish was nearly perfect with minimal stringing. However the complete failure in this product, the reason it gets 1 star overall, lies underneath the surface. And I mean the surface of the spool itself. The more you use this spool the more issues arrise. More than halfway through the spool and the stringing has become ridiculous (with a dryer amd sub 10% humidity), but most importantly, worst of all, THE SPOOLING IS COMPLETELY AND LAUGHABLY TERRIBLE. And I don't mean a snag here or there. The further I got into this roll the more it became obvious that somehow the spooling machine had completely failed the consumer. MULTIPLE layers were overlapped causing the print to fail hours into the print once the spool had reached the end of a layer and the next layer was completely embedded. This last tangle was so strong I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to try and unravel the rest of the spool or simply throw it away and get a different brand. The thing that scares me the most is I've now purchased a few different colors from this company and I fear the results will be the same.

I bought this filament to make a custom, dark colored dragon for a client (pics above), hoping that it would give me the dimension and contrast I was looking for in my project, as I had a lighter blue, glow in the dark filament that I needed something significantly darker than it, to really help this project shine... but I knew I did not want a black filament, it needed to be dark blue... Oh my, oh my... this navy blue filament by Giant Arm is yet another offering from the maker that I will be adding to my shelf of regular filaments. Opening the box, I knew that the color was exactly what I wanted and the end product was everything I hope for. Out of the box, this filament was (as always) very neatly wound, had no kinks or brittle portions of it, and it printed as cleanly as any of the best filaments I use. I really like the consistency of the Giant Arm filaments, it allows me to pop the spool into my printer and start printing with little-to-no (usually it's no) changes needed to my existing print profile. I did not experience clogs or moisture related issues when printing, and bed adhesion was a thing of beauty. At no point was I concerned whether or not this filament would stick to my bed; from the very moment the first layer was laid down, I knew my project was going to complete without any failures... something I have come accustomed to with Giant Arm's PLA. Pros: Great color, great bed adhesion, good price point, performs consistently across all their products Cons: There is only 1 set of filament holders on either side of the spool, I would like to either see one additional set on opposite side, or put 1 set every 90 degrees.

This purple is average to better quality when compared to competitors' Sparkle Purple. It prints ok, It sticks to the bed ok but, It depends very much on your printer set-up as do they all. I paid £25 for this just a few months ago, which at the time seemed a little high compared to £17 for a competitor's version which was just as good. Now it's £31 I just cannot afford to buy it. I can buy a different brand and get 2 x 1kg reels for £37 in this colour. so only 3 Stars because of price.

All'interno, la classica confezione di cartone in cui vi era la bobina del filamento imbustato sottovuoto e con un sacchetto di silica deumidificante. MATERIALI E REALIZZAZIONE Il filo è un classico PLA. La colorazione non è monocromatica/omogenea ma ha una trama brillantinata. La flessibilità del filamento è molto buona ed è arrivato in ottime condizioni: di conseguenza è stato conservato perfettamente nella sua confezione ermetica nei magazzini. Il filo, misurato con il calibro in più punti, ha sempre misurato 1.75 mm . UTILIZZO Ho già acquistato altri filamenti di questa marca e mi sono trovato bene. Ho visto dei video di questo materiale ed ho quindi voluto provarlo. La qualità e la conservazione del filamento permettono di ottenere ottime stampe. L’omogeneità del diametro del filamento impedisce di otturare l’ugello e permette un flow omogeneo, perfetto anche per le stampe più difficili e con layer molto piccoli. Per effettuare i test ho utilizzato una Geeetech A20. Prima di tutto ho stampato il tipico pupazzetto di Marvin, ottimo risultato con qualche correzione da fare nei settings di stampa. Poi ho stampato la classica 3DBenchy a 190° nozzle e 50° il bed. Il risultato è venuto veramente perfetto e a questo punto non ho dovuto correggere nulla. L’effetto sparkly è veramente bello principalmente perché il colore viola è un po’ opaco mentre i “brillantini” che gli danno l’effetto sparkly lo rendono molto luminoso, per intenderci ricorda un po’ un cielo stellato. Ho stampato un contenitore a vite che si apre e richiude con la gravità. Nonostante abbia usato un layer più alto di quello consigliato il risultato è ottimo, sia perché il materiale è facile da calibrare/settare, sia perché la stampa è venuta molto liscia e regolare senza alcun problema. Come si vede dalle foto il risultato è stato veramente ottimo. Grazie all’effetto lucido e levigato sembra quasi che la stampa sia stata postprodotta! CONCLUSIONI Giantarm fa ottimi filamenti e questo PLA è veramente stupendo, sinceramente non me lo aspettavo così. Per di più è allo stesso prezzo di un comune PLA. L’uniformità e la brillantezza del materiale e dei layer è eccezionale.

Este filamento me ha parecido una opción muy interesante. Elegí el color marrón para probar con algunas figuras de que quería hacer en color “tierra”, y la verdad es que el acabado final está muy bien, incluso con algunos reflejos atractivos. La impresión ha ido sin problemas: buena adherencia a la cama, sin atascos y con un resultado limpio. Eso sí, conviene hacer los ajustes de temperatura y velocidad con los tests habituales para sacarle el máximo partido. En general, ofrece una calidad más que correcta por el precio que tiene. Una compra recomendable para quien quiera un filamento vistoso y fácil de trabajar.
