I purchased it for using to soak my oven racks when cleaning out my oven and it is the perfect size and depth for this, I also use it to fill up my bird feeders and seed containers, it means I can fill up the plastic tubs or feeders in the tray and any seed I drop is caught in the tray and not transferred to the floor, perfect! Aside from the obvious use in potting plants, it is also good for defrosting the freezer and was a lifesaver when our washing machine stopped mid cycle and we had to drain the water out! It is light weight but very sturdy and wipes clean very easily. I keep it on top of my kitchen cupboards so it is always close at hand.
