Paid a little extra than other similar grey products as I wanted to mount the box on "white" plastic coving in my conservatory, as it would appear that the product I need is not available, I will have to paint this box before installing. not white but off white/ cream / light grey not sure but not white plastic in the normal context.

I have given a 5 star for "waterproof", I haven't tested this as mine is used indoors but the design leaves me with no doubt that it would be ok in an outdoor situation - the one caveat is that the seal is a straight length of material rather than a ring, hence there will be a join and care will be needed when installing it to make sure the ends are pressed together, maybe a dab of silicon would be sensible if located in a very exposed position. Other than that I have nothing negative to say about it.

I used this box to enclose a DPDT 30-amp AC relay used as an automatic transfer switch in my truck between shore power and the onboard inverter. There was plenty of space for the wiring inside. I drilled two holes for 8-32 screws to mount the relay, countersinking from the outside to use flat head screws and nuts on the inside. I drilled three 7/8-inch holes for 3/8-inch Romex clamps to secure the cables. The box comes with a length of white soft rubber o-ring material that easily presses into the groove in the cover (I used the corner of a credit card to do this). As you near the end, cut the rubber to length using a sharp knife. The cover fits nicely on the box and this rubber gasket will make an excellent seal. However my installation is inside the truck so it is not exposed to rain at all. The box is made of sturdy plastic and seems like it will hold up well. There are a pair of PC board slots near one end, and several drilled bosses that could be used to mount a PC board flat at the bottom of the box.

I look forward to fabricating another custom hand-crafted product with this very nice and professional looking plastic sealed enclosure. I have purchase smaller versions of this type of enclosure from this seller recently and in the past and must say that it is a modest price to pay for an enclosure of this caliber. I look forward to purchasing more of these enclosures in the very near future. Easy to machine!
