I use this in an automation for Homekit
this is a a great addition to Apple's Homekit. it can control lights, thermostats...... whatever your imagination can come up with. battery life has been quite good.

Gets the job done, for the price.
I have used it for a month now, the battery level indicates 20%, both on the home as well Onvis app. Sometimes it is slow to respond. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do; 99% of the time. The 2-pack does not come with extra spaces that the 1-pack offers.

Perfect addition to smart home
Honestly, I’m fairly surprised at how well this device works. I installed this on my front door at home, and I can be hundreds of miles away when it’s opened by my wife and I receive a notification instantly. There are some instances where it does lag behind by 2 or 3 seconds, but I attribute that solely to network congestion or my internet connection. This product costs less than 1/3rd of the price of other magnetic door sensors and works beyond my expectations, so I would happily recommend this product as an addition to anyone’s smart home.

Not reliable.
Since I've received this I've had to reset it once a week. Including deleting it from Home/Onvis app. When it's working, it works well and very fast. It's only about 15 feet away from my Apple TV 4k (home hub) and detects the door closing/opening basically immediately within the Apple Home app.But....I've already noticed that its stops responding within the Home and Onvis app multiple times.

These things are really cool!
The media could not be loaded. We installed these for the same client that wanted the light strips. The client showed us what they could do after they've been configured. How amazing lol. We put them on the door (the client wanted us to screw them in so they were more secure, but they came with adhesive also). Then after a few minutes of doing some stuff on his phone, the client showed us what these did. Wow. We really are in the future lol. What an amazing product.

Battery does too quickly
Battery life is quite short. Odd size battery. Inconsistent performance under HomeKit.

Firmware fixed everything
Works great now after the firmware update.

Not worth the cost.
You're paying a premium for the supposed reliability and battery life of Thread. Unfortunately neither of these exist.- The battery life (even for a door that's opened maybe twice a year) is less than six months, far from the year that was promised.- Every Thread device seems to have something broken in its radio so that it randomly switches to bluetooth, and this device is no exception.- Finally it's a total PITA to open it to put in a replacement battery. And to add insult to injury, the makers are clearly aware of this – so much so that in the manual they don't even describe how to open it...Oh, let's not forget the crowing fsck you by the manufacturers – it's esentially impossible to update this thing, so forget those happy stories/fake reviews about how a firmware update fixed things. I've tried to use the iPhone app repeatedly, across six months, to update the firmware, and it has NEVER worked...
