They work well on our Cavadoodle pup, but you have to brush thoroughly beforehand as they catch on ‘tats’ in their curly hair. I thought they would be quieter than they are - but the buzzing noise doesn’t bother him so it’s fine. Before using them, I turned them on ( in background) while playing with him and he stopped, looked and carried on playing.

Ordered it second time as I have my first one for over a year, not using it very often. They were cutting ok, but suddenly stopped working. I did oil them and store them clean. I tough unlucky hense stopped working. Order second one in May and 4 months later stopped working again, after using it couple of times. I wouldn't buy it again

I like the look of the machine, it seems sturdy and looks good, I haven’t used it yet so can’t comment on that as I only received it this afternoon, but I find the list of contents short by a cleaning brush. This isn’t going to prompt returning, but when it says cleaning brush in the contents then I expect one to be there, a little disappointed with that but if it works well then that’s what counts.

had many clippers over the years i have 2 cockapoo both difference coats one is more poodle coat and these have been the best ones i have had

Clipper works fine, but blade lasted one cut, then it was blunt. It was oiled as is should be.

I spent ages looking around and reading reviews for dog clippers. I'm pleased I paid a little bit more and got these. My Cocker Spaniel doesn't like noises so I turned these on away from him and slowly brought the base towards him and touched the body of the clipper on him for a few minutes. He just stood there! these have a low vibration and a low pitched noise and he was fine (by the way he runs a mile if I turn on the Wahl Paw Tidy Pet Trimmer as they are so high pitched) I've learnt quite quickly that the way to go with dog grooming is to use the swapable blades rather than comb attachments and these are not cheap. This comes with a 10 but I purchased a 7F and a 4F for my Cocker. The F blades give a nicer finish over using the attachment combs and you swap them when they get hot. English Cocker Spaniel (guide) Head = 7FC Body, Side, Back = 7, 7FC to 5, 5FC Front of Forelegs = 5, 5FC to 4, 4FC Neck, Ears, Face, Cheeks = 10 to 15 The large bottle of oil saves you a few quid but you also need a Hygiene Spray and you can get oil and spray for £7.99 Very pleased.

Very disappointed with these. I've had them a little over a year and they've stopped cutting. I've kept them cleaned and oiled and they aren't used that often. I've completely taken them apart, cleaned etc and they just don't work. As a hairdresser, I thought Wahl would be a trusted brand, but sadly not. Unfortunately, I've realised my beautifully trusting dog has just endured me pushing and pulling her hair around until I realised they are just not working. Such a shame!

The Wahl dog clippers were not to Australian electrical standards. Did not fit into socket

I was really impressed with the quality of these clippers, however I had to send back because the had a 220v plug. I only have 110v outlets. Otherwise. I would have kept them.
