Listen—I almost never write reviews anymore but I need you all to know how much you will love this product. As someone with chronic pain and illness I cannot live without the everyday use of a heating pad, so when my last one prematurely kicked the bucket a few days ago and the loaner someone offered me was not it I knew I had to find another option asap. If you’re like me, you know how important heating pads are and that we want the best function for price point. I was on the fence based on a few other reviews, but let me tell you why I think you should just buy this despite the slightly higher price. Auto shut-off: You need it for safety reasons. I can’t get to sleep without pain relief, if I don’t shut an older heating pad off manually before I drift off the result is painful and has even left me with “toasted skin syndrome” in the past. This will always shut off on its own, and even self-regulates if it starts to get too hot. If you see reviews mentioning the heat going in and out, that’s probably why. It will dial back up when it’s safe to do so. Fit: The larger size covers my whole back or abdomen. I’m not petite by any means these days, but also not super big. Consider getting an even bigger size if you’re worried, but this will just be extra warm and cozy if you’re on the smaller side. Softness: Unparalleled. Other brands are scratchy on bare skin which is a no-go if you’ve also got sensory issues like me. Warranty: With every day heavy use, we spoonies know the shelf life of a heating pads is limited. Well you’re in luck, because this baby comes with a 5-year warranty in the box. The remote: Basically silent somehow??? How did I ever live with the loud clicks in other brands before? Also, minimal light means it’s easy to wind down in the evenings. Like other reviews have said, the number of lights corresponds with the higher levels of heat. Durability: As far as I can tell this will last through the washing machine when needed like the listing and instructions promise. I will post an update if that changes. It’s definitely well-made, and for all my money this is a good value. Do it. Get the heating pad. Your pain will thank you.

The Pure luxury heating pad was soft to the touch, heated quickly, and it was the nicest heating pad I ever had. I would have highly recommended it until it broke a year after purchase. It has a 5 year warranty so I contacted them. I spoke with with customer service and was told that they would replace the pad, no need to return broken one, and that they will send me email to which I respond with Amazon order #, and my name and address. Two weeks went by and there is no email from them. I called the contact # listed on product manual several times on one day and several times the next day and they are sorry, they are busy, call again later. Then I received a text supposedly from Pure, but when I called # given in text, it was from Canada and I would have to pay for the call to go through. So it appears they are not going to honor the warranty. I’m upgrading mt review to 5 stars. I finally received the email from Pure to which I responded with Amazon order #, my name and address, and photo of the controller that was not working. Within days I received a brand new replacement heating pad, and no need to return broken one. So you can’t get better service than that. Thank you Pure.

This is nice. It doesn't get way too hot but it gets hot enough. More so than the drugstore variety. Its plush and cozy

This heating pad is the coziest one I have owned for the fall and upcoming winter season. If only my cat is able to speak, then she would definitely vouch for this. Featured with a plush fabric, the heat is accentuated along with the usual warmth that a heating pad offers. The color and pattern of the stitching is a rather unique and chic design element. The buttons on the remote allow for a user-friendly experience for all ages, and the heating indicator is straightforward. I especially admire the 2 hour timer that automatically applies to all settings since leaving these on for a long duration can be a fire hazard. The size is perfect to place on the abdominal region for those who suffer from stomach pains and cramps. I usually use this product under another plush blanket to enjoy additional warmth. I recommend this heating pad for those who have an eye for design in the practical products they own. You can make your furry friend warm and cozy too as a bonus.

Nice looking and works good overall but the heat is sporadic at the highest heat setting — sometimes staying same temp and sometimes getting hot

I love this heating pad so much that I bought FIVE of them. 3 for me and 2 for gifts (though some of them were the purple version, some were the white - they appear to be identical). I bought my first one along with a smaller version from the same brand and this big one is my favorite by far. I like to keep my house about 68 during the day and 63 at night, and having one in my bed and two on my couch are just divine. They get plenty warm enough that I believe they would be fine for pain relief, but I really only use them to sit and lay on. I do notice that when I turn them on, there is a burst of heat that seems to cool down after about ten minutes, so sometimes I find myself turning it off and on again to feel the higher heat level. I wish there was an option to keep it on instead of shutting off after 2 hours, but it’s not a big deal (it’s a safety feature). The design isn’t a priority for me in a heating pad, but the fabric and design of the pad as well as the control pendant are very stylish. It’s not your old, ugly, Rite-Aid Sunbeam heating pad! Also, most importantly - my dogs like to lie on them. I know, I know, it says right in the warnings not to let pets sit on them but if I’m home to supervise, they get to enjoy :-)

I've had this for several months now. 6 heat settings so I can get it plenty warm if needed. The larger size is great and I love the softness of the cover. Auto shut off is an important feature. Cord length is ample.
