## Description

The Grizzly is one legendary bow that has been proving itself since 1950. Mr. Bear made the last design change to the Grizzly in 1964. The value-priced bow is designed for big performance that will go easy on anyone's budget. Whether you are new to traditional archery or an expert, the Grizzly is a sure shooter for any skill level.

Review: AMO 58" - They failed to write an accurate description of what you're buying. It's not a 62" bow. The AMO is 58". I ended up keeping it because it's a damn good bow and feels great in your hand. Also, the shorter length will be beneficial while stalking through thicker brush. They need to do a better job of packing the bow as well. The tips punched through the cardboard box and the plastic bag the bow was wrapped in while in transit. One tip went all the way through. Luckily it did not damage the bow.
Review: Shoots as Great as it Looks! - Very pleased with the bow. As with most other bear products, you're getting a lot of bow for your money. Beautiful finish and lots of fun to shoot. It does have an exceptionally chubby grip, but it is very comfortable in hand. It's a fairly loud bow, so be sure to get the silencing goodies to help compensate for it. Not sure why, but it feels a bit heavier than other 50# recurves I've drawn, even other 50#ers in the bear line. But overall, great bow for the money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The description shows this bow to be 62". is that accurate? the bear site lists the grizzly at 58".**
A: The grizzly is 58" almost never trust an Amazon description.  They are worthless.

**Q: What draw weight would be best for whitetail hunting?**
A: 45 lbs is plenty for a whitetail.  Fred bear hunted with that weight.  Don't go under 40#.  50# or 55# may definitely be too much draw weight for a beginner recurve hunter.  make sure to go to a bow shop and try a 40#, 45#, 50# bow before you buy anything.  The biggest mistake beginner recurve hunters make is to get a bow that is too hard to pull back.  Accuracy and precision are truly more important than draw weight with a recurve. depending on the arrow spine, draw weight and draw length, you'll probably want to go with a 125gr broadhead or heavier for whitetail as well.

**Q: New to this and about to purchase this bow. what arrows (brand/length) and how many arrows should i get for the #40? any other gadgets needed?**
A: We have some great Port Orford Cedar arrows manufactured by Rose City and branded for Bear. They will be spined for this bow and ready to shoot. We have different patterns and fletching colors but if you'll let me pick them for you I guarantee you will be happy. Arrows are fully finished at $159 / doz. Or we can talk about graphite traditional finish arrows by Easton, Beman or Carbon Express. We will preset the bow for the nock and spine and length so the arrows flight is fully tuned for spit finger or three under holds, your preference.Regards, Mark, Adventures Archery.

**Q: What Is the brace hight for this bow and what string do I replace it with. Thank you for answering my questions so fast**
A: Any Dacron or Flemish twist string will work on the bow.  As for the brace height 7.5-8.5" is recommended.

Very pleased with the bow. As with most other bear products, you're getting a lot of bow for your money. Beautiful finish and lots of fun to shoot. Don’t make the mistake (Like I did) and order too much draw Weight cause there is no “let off” like a compound. Mikes Archery was most excellent in getting me a 30# instead of of the #50 I ordered.
