I had a torch I got years ago from Williams and Sonoma for much more than this finally break and thought I’d give this a try. It works great but the only thing I don’t like is that you have to keep the trigger pushed to keep the flame lit. It was a convenient feature to not have to constantly hold the trigger if I was making a lot of crème brûlée.

This is a simple and effective kitchen torch, very easy to load up with butane (which I bought at a local hardware store). It worked well with creme brulee and I definitely will try it on other things!

flame is sorta small, took a minute or so to heat my small quartz bucket, but that's to be expected with sucha small torch. worked fine for probably a year, a dozen times a day every day. igniter was the first to go, then a year ish later the throttle lock stopped working, so you had to depress and hold it the whole time. finally after 2ish years of use the whole throttle stopped working. started with a small leak, i noticed it was dying faster, but eventually gave out entirely. NO COMPLAINTS FOR 13 BUCKS! Time to level up and get a BLAZER GT! 😁

This is the one kitchen item I didn't think I needed until I found some uses that work. I use this powerful torch for crisping meats, lighting my grill and browning when an oven is overkill. The torch provides plenty of concentrated heat through fire. This is not a toy and should be used by an adult. I find more uses and keep this handy. It is also able to be re-fueled with Butane from your local hardware store. For the low cost, it is a winner, so I gave several away as stocking stuffers, a great value and a gift that most do not already have.

I really liked the color and size of this torch as well as the push button ignition. After about 1 month of use the button started to stop clicking and would only ignite if it did happen to click, slowly it clicked less and less until it stopped clicking and auto igniting all together. However, the torch is still usable if you just light it with a lighter.

The best thing about a large lighter like this is the ability to adjust the flame from high to low using the turn dial. It hold an average amount of gas I think, and like any refillable butane lighter it takes a bit of finess to fill it correctly. After awhile (only a couple of days) the ignition began to get shotty, but I'm hoping it's just something wrong with the conditions it's being used in for now. It comes in many colors so I got turqous blue my favorite. The flame will get pretty darn high when you turn the dial all the way up, and I'm hoping it'll last long enough to save me some money on lighters at the store. It was 10 bucks so I suppose I got what I paid for. Overall would recommend using large cooking lighters like this one as opposed to smaller lighters that won't last as long. Good buy
