Good but difficult to install
Just like many other reviewers the tire was difficult to install on the wheel: 1. Heated in the microwave about 3 mins. 2. Soap on the tire/rim a must 3. After removing the wheel and disassembling I stood on the wheel (part w/o motor) and used a screw driver to pry the tire on to the rim. At some point it popped. This part was hard. 4. Had to use clamps (see photos) to get the tire on the other side of the wheel and screw the wheel back together. Lining up the screw holes was actually easier than I thought it would be. Recommend taking off the brake disc during this step. I ended up bending mine slightly. This step was very difficult. 5. Putting the cable back on was the most challenging step. I didn’t have pliers which would have been helpful. Matching up the arrows and getting enough leverage to get the cable back together was … frustrating I would say I’m average when it comes to being a “home engineer “ or handyman… this install was really difficult.

Simple installation... if you prepare and do it right!
I want to give these tires a fair review because honestly they're totally worth the effort if you understand how to properly install them. First of all, make sure that you order the correct size tires that fit your rims. Guessing doesn't cut it. These tires are a precision fit item and installing the wrong size tire will most definitely land you in the emergency room! What's in the box? Two (2) tires and One (1) Tire Iron. Tools required? A decent pair of thick Lamont brand leather gloves, the tire iron included with your purchase and a flat sturdy work bench or covered table top. Choosing the right Gloves is very important, because you are handling "a very hot smelly tire" and you're going to feel the heat radiating from the tire through your gloves as you work. Dont kid yourself, it's going to be somewhat painful but your gloves will protect your hands from becoming blistered. Tire Direction? The tires you purchased will have a small directional ARROWS on the sides. Draw a black arrow on your rim with a sharpie and make sure both arrows match. If you accidentally put the tire on the rim backwards, good luck getting the tire off the rim once you have already mounted it. ¹ Before ordering... Take your wheel off, remove the old tire/tube and measure the inside width of your rim. If you're not good at converting decimals to fractions do your due diligence and find a calculator online that does accurate conversions. ² Measure and re-measure your tires height and width and buy replacement tires that are absolutely identical to what you are removing. If you can't find the exact same size tire, keep searching until you do or ask a friend for help. ³ If you have a shop microwave that's terrific, but if you have to use the microwave in your kitchen, then heat up your tires when everyone's gone because you kitchen and especially the microwave will smell like a tire shop afterwards. ⁴ Very important. Layer several sheets of paper towels inside your microwave and place your tire on top of it. Heat up only one (1) flat free tire at a time for Five minutes @ One minute intervals. After each minute, open the microwave door and flip the tire over wearing your leather gloves. After cooking each tire for a total of five minutes, your tire will be hot and slightly smoking. The tire should be fairly pliable and reasonably flimsy. * Put on your leather GLOVES if you're not already wearing them! ⁵ Time is of the essence, so you got to work quick getting the tire on the rim asap or you'll have to cook it again in the microwave for another minute or two. Sooner the easier it will be to install them, but you only have a couple minutes. If you lollygag at all, the tire will become considerably less pliable and more difficult to stretch into place over the rim. Honestly, it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience, but getting the tire on the rim was actually pretty easy. No lubricant or tools required. Just my gloved hands, a bit of muscle, aggressive determination and perseverance. ⁶ Working on a flat surface, press the RIM into the tire and quickly stretch the hot tire over the lip until it's fully mounted. If it doesn't stretch easily then it's probably not hot enough. ⁷ Now, flip the mounted tire over and with your tire iron, gently push the bead with the lines on it beneath the rim all the way around. The lines im describing will look like this... ///////////////////////////. * When complete, both sides of the tire will appear identical. ⁸ That's it, you did it. Congratulations! Now go heat up your other tire and mount the other side. ⁹ As for the stinky microwave in the the kitchen that reeks of burnt tire. Stir in two (2) TABLESPOONS of real cinnamon inside a coffee cup prefilled with hot water. Place the cup on top of the paper towels inside your microwave and cook it for at least three minutes. This is the one time that you actually want the contents to boil over and make a big steamy mess inside your oven. Afterwards simply let everything cool down, wipe up the mess and your microwave will smell of cinnamon, not a raspy tire shop. (Your wife and family will never know.)

Works great but super hard to install
Great tires just need to have the right tools and understanding to put them on. My local scooter shop wanted 100 to put these on. In my advice don't buy a scooter with tube tires get one with hard tires already on

Great Fitment For A GT G4
Great product and works for a Gotrax G4 scooter. As all the other reviews say it was a massive pain to install as solid rubber doesn’t really like to bend that much. However after all the work the peace of mind I have knowing I won’t have to worry about flats is nice. Do know that because it’s solid rubber it will not absorb impact as well as an air filled tire and the ride will be a bit rougher. However I think the trade off is worth it for not having to worry about a flat ever again.

HARD to install. Makes for a pretty rough ride but no more flats
These tires were insanely difficult to install. I am a large, mechanically inclined guy with plenty of tools and rarely (never) gets stymied or frustrated with something as simple as this should have been.. The only real instructions it came with said to search uTube for “Ninebot scooter solid tubeless tire replacement”, which did not link to the (or any) manufactures video but just random nice people out there who have created and posted their own videos So basically there was no thought or effort at all given to providing their own instructions and they just leverage other people‘s work which is a cheap and unethical tactic as best. I searched through several videos before finding one that was specifically for the Segway Ninebot and was actually helpful. Even in the videos where the poster had obviously replaced these tires before it did not look easy, most used atleast 2 people, always big guys, no dainty ones who still fought and grunted to get the new tire in place. I followed the instructions I found on uTube to a T and still made no progress (except a lot of cursing) for nearly an hour trying to get this mounted. I boiled it as instructed and still it would not fit. I boiled it and then used my heat gun and still could not mount it. I finally recruited three other family members to assist and we finally got it mounted but the outside of the rim was significantly dented and scratched all over, all the nice looking orange paint strip was nearly destroyed so it looks pretty beat up now. This was only the back tire, given the difficulty and damage to to the back tire and rim I don’t think I will even consider replacing the front tire where the motor is in the hub of the tire. Finally, despite the width measurement of 2.125 specified by Segway and this product says the size is 10x2.25 there is about a 1/8” gap between the tire sidewall and the rim bead and does not engage at all with the bead. This gives the tire enough play when turning it feels like a Normal tire thats low on air. I actually worry a bit that in a sharp turn it might allow the tier to dismount or ”peel” itself off the rim on its own which is almost unbelievable considering the difficulty of mounting it.. I know the benefit of not worrying about flat tires is enticing but I am not sure it is worth the frustration and cosmetic damage to the rim that results from the install. YMMV - Litterally ;-)
