Fantastic - four amps in one - everything from quiet cleans through to gritty dirt, all from one amp. Did the ubiquitous mods; Cream Back speaker and C19 clip. Sounds absolutely beautiful and is addictive as hell! However, forget about 'reverb' 'cos it ain't there! Big, heavy, loud and gorgeous !

turn up the volume on clean and it gets dirty, not what you want
To me this amp is let down by the fact that the volume and the gain are combined, turn up the volume on clean and it gets dirty, not what you want..

This ia great. Was looking for an old JCM 800 but hard to find an most 100w, This does 15w or half power, great for studio. Having owned a couple of marshals and used almost all of their offerings this is a great amp. Very impressed.

This is a great amp for what it is
This is a great amp for what it is, a home practice and recording amp. You will not be able to gig this amp I dont think even if you did Mic it as the clean channel does not stay that clean as the volume increases and soon goes in to mild drive. The power setting ca nbe changed from 5 watt to 0.5 I think and this makes it really useful for late night playing. You can also connect an MP3 player and headphones if you like but the drive sounds suffer with headphones. I havent tried the direct out for recording yet as I much prefer to Mic my amps externally. The tone and deep buttons help change the tone to a more modern sounding drive if thats your thing. No reverb but an fx loop is there if you want, comes with footswitch . I find the drive to be a little muffled on the higher gain settings so I use a boost/OD pedal for my higher gain sounds. I like the amp, cleans are really nice sounding and mid to moderate gain is typical blasy marshall flavour. Seems well built and id definately buy it again.

One of the best tone for the price
Great tone. Amazing in fact for the price. I tried everything for home practice and it came down to this and the black Star HR 5. The black Star looked better imo and had slightly more functionality, e.g. reverb, but in terms of pure sound there was no comparison. The dsl5 was much richer. An amazing tone.

Great amp but high noise level on ultra gain
Great amp for live gigs, has a lot of noise on high gain channel so need very low noise cables and special low noise power supply for pedals. Amazingly loud when coupled with a Celestion Vintage 30 which I recommend you swap out the 70/80 speaker in the MX112 corresponding cab.
