Made taking them on a camping trip far trickier. **Q: Will this hold number plates on?** A: i wouldn't think it would hold a number plate on and if it did it wouldn't be for very long. I found it an atrocious product **Q: I know the packaging says it sticks stuff to bricks but has anyone actually tried it?** A: Hello, Gorilla Mounting Tape can be used on brick surfaces. Be sure that the tape is sticking to the flat surfaces of the brick and not the grout lines. If we can be of further assistance with your application, please contact our Consumer Affairs team through our website at www.gorillatough.com/contact and reference case #337541. Thank you, The Gorilla Glue Company **Q: I'm looking to bond a shower chrome basket to tiles via suction cups, does it stick ?.** A: Gorilla Tape, has let me down a little, when putting it onto ceiling tiles, it is still up there but, has torn one tile a tiny, winy bit as, it pulled away. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clear, strong, and weatherproof—Gorilla’s mounting tape nails invisible installs with instant grip. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 September 2025* 🧻 Gorilla Clear Mounting Tape – Full ReviewThis tape delivers a permanent bond with instant hold, designed for smooth and rough surfaces. I’ve seen it used for van interiors, tool wall setups, and display boards, and it holds up—clean, tough, and no faff. For around £7.70 to £10.50, it’s a smart grab for anyone who wants a reliable, invisible adhesive that sticks and stays. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong hold and incredibly easy to use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 August 2026* I've used this Gorilla Mounting Tape for several jobs around the house and have been impressed by how strong the adhesive is once it's fully bonded. It's a useful alternative to drilling holes when mounting lightweight items or organising cables and accessories.Application is straightforward. I cleaned and dried the surface first, cut the tape to the required length and applied firm pressure after positioning the item. The tape cuts cleanly with scissors and the black colour helps it remain discreet once installed. The tape itself feels thick and substantial rather than flimsy, and it provides a much stronger hold than standard double-sided tape. Once properly applied, items stay firmly in place and there is very little movement or flex. One thing worth noting is that positioning needs to be accurate from the start. After the adhesive has bonded, it can be difficult to remove or reposition without damaging the tape, so it's worth taking a little extra time to get everything aligned correctly. The 1.5-metre roll goes further than you'd expect because only short pieces are often needed for smaller mounting jobs. As with any adhesive mounting product, the best results come from using it on clean, dry, suitable surfaces and staying within the recommended weight limits.Overall, this is a handy product to keep in the DIY cupboard. It's easy to use, provides a strong hold and can save the hassle of drilling holes for many everyday household mounting tasks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 July 2026* The only thing that's been able to stick the back door fly screen permanently, thank goodness. Everything else failed! Just a bit difficult to get the backing tape off to begin with. ## Frequently Bought Together - Heavy-Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape 25.4mm x 1.52m - Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape, Black Tape, 1" x 120" (Pack of 1) - Weatherproof for Indoor or Outdoor - Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Tape Squares, Clear Tape, 24 1" Pre-Cut Mounting Squares (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/50751156-gorilla-double-sided-mounting-tape-clear-1-5m-pack-1](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/50751156-gorilla-double-sided-mounting-tape-clear-1-5m-pack-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
