Seiko at it's best
I have owned many Seiko (divers type) watches and this one is right up there with the best. This is the first watch that I can read the day/date as the display is bigger and clearer than other watches. The white face makes the time clear. The strap is very comfortable and keeps the watch face in one place on my wrist and time keeping is good for an automatic. The watch is Japanese made (some are not) which is good and I got a great price on Amazon. All in all I'm a happy chappie.

Quality watch for a give-away price.
My 40 years old CWC mechanical military watch had died and the watchmender recommended I not waste money having repaired. I saw this watch on line and could not believe it could be sold so cheaply. It arrived well before the date given me by the supplier and I was impressed with its style and obvious quality. It appears to be a robust watch, capable of taking the rough with the smooth, and as I work for the railway out on the track, it will get a lot of the rough. If you want a good quality and good looking military watch, this is the one worth considering.

A good looking automatic watch, well constructed
Nice to have a watch that is not dependent on either batteries or light; not even on winding up - but more of that anon. This is my first Seiko, and it is a Honda to my other Japanese watch's Nissan. Looks and feels solid and very well finished - highly suitable as a gift - as is the black-faced version. It loses a star as it has to be used fairly actively through a normal working day in order to ensure its keeping going, I found. Recently I have been rather inactive from time to time, and have had to restart it and re-set the time. Secondly , in common with probably all automatic watches it needs re-setting to the exact time say once a week: it loses about 10 seconds a day. A friend has a similar watch of the black-faced variety that gains about 10 seconds a day. But this is acceptable, as the variation so far is constant.Much admired, I would recommend this without hesitation, with the caveat that applies to all automatic watches, most of which cost considerably more.

Nice Automatic Watch
Quite a nice automatic watch though I have come across a more sexy automatic Seiko. Pity it is an automatic rather than Solar. But if you still want an automatic go ahead and buy it. Is it a good buy? Well, that depends on the price. I've seen it at around £75 which I would consider it an excellent buy.

Seiko automatic watch
My old seiko watch lets water in after 7 years and has a very badly scratched face so I was looking for a replacement. I have had automatics before and didn't rate them but since I have had such good service from my old Seiko, I thought I would give this one a try. There do not seem to be many without a black dial and stop watch functions, which I do not have any use for, and black dials I find to be too reflective. The face on this one is very good and does not reflect. So far I have not been disapointed. It keeps good time and the face is very easy to read even in the dark. The strap is also very good and I had forgotten how nice it was to be able to adjust the strap without having to resort to special tools.

Easy to read watch - even in the dark, no batteries required
A clear easy to read watch, was really impressed with the luminous markers making it very easy to read during darkness. The 23 jewel automatic movement is viewable through the clear back. The watch is water resistant to 100 metres (the swimming pool is deep enough for me) and it keeps good time. An automatic Seiko sports 5 watch for under £70.00 - exceptional value.

Nice non bling watch.
Wanted a replacement for old Seiko that needed a £70 clean and service, this one caught my eye as it is set apart from the usual bling that people wear. Very easy for old eyes to read dial, looses about 1 min per week, strap is very comfortable and looks as though it will not fray over time and is of course infinitely adjustable.
