HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL. I've had these bars from several stores since they came out and the previous quality had been inconsistent, but tolerable. The current quality is abysmal. The bars I just received have GREEN tinted frosting (See photo) and are smaller than they have ever been. They smell like they usually do and it's probably a food coloring issue, but I definitely won't be doing a taste test to see if they are fine. I'm extremely busy (I'm a nursing student w/ 2 jobs), so I sometimes rely on protein bars, drinks, etc. to get by when I'm low on time. When the bars are made properly, the flavor and texture are pretty good and they are filling enough until I can have an actual meal. Not quite as tasty as a pop tart, but better than many protein bars and doesn't melt in a hot car like most bars, so they can be kept on hand for later. I would give them 4 out of 5 stars for the correctly made bars, but the inconsistent quality makes me hesitant to ever purchase them again.

Honestly, this protein Pop-Tart is kind of like if a regular Pop-Tart went to the gym, got jacked, and forgot how to taste feelings. It’s not exactly a culinary masterpiece, but 20 grams of protein in a frosted rectangle? I’m not complaining. The texture’s a little chewy, the flavor’s a little “protein-y,” but it gets the job done. I feel like I’m eating dessert and my biceps are thanking me. Four stars because it fuels my gains—but let’s be real, I still miss the original sugary sin version.

I eat these for breakfast about 3 days a week with my protien shake in my coffee. 50 grams of protien keep me full until like 2pm. Low cal and yummy. Like a pop tart on steroids.

Maybe it’s just this box or there is something else at play but these do match the ones I buy at the store. The packaging is same, though the pop tart is oddly shopped more short and fat. The chocolate frosting on top has a green sheen. Sprinkles weird/sparse. Inside the filling is a lot less. It’s weird and off.
