The holidays are a time for celebration, but when Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and host of other Disney characters become obsessed with holiday preparations, the frenzy of activity leaves everyone feeling stressed, selfish, and full of regret. A skating contest leads best friends Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck down a path of jealousy and hurt feelings in "Belles on Ice," and "Christmas Impossible" finds Huey, Dewie, and Louie selfishly scheming to get on Santa's "good list" at any expense. In "Christmas Maximus," Goofy's son Max is mortified by his father's silly antics and, in "Donald's Gift," Donald's craving for peace and quiet threatens to ruin the whole family's holiday fun. "Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas" finds Mickey so absorbed in planning the perfect Christmas party that he lashes out at Pluto and almost loses a very special friend forever. While the animation style is new, what hasn't changed is Disney's commitment to stories with wholesome values: Mickey and the gang remind viewers that the holiday season is not about selfishness, flashy parties, and expensive gifts, but about selflessness and the celebration of family and friends. --Tami Horiuchi Five Christmas adventures for Mickey Mouse in his computer-generated animation debut. In 'Belles on Ice', figure skaters Minnie and Daisy are best pals, but each one thinks she is the star of the big ice show. In 'Christmas: Impossible', Huey, Dewey, and Louie realise they may be left off Santa's good list this year - but with no time left to mend their ways, their only possible course of action is to break into Santa's workshop and write their names on the list themselves. 'Christmas Maximus' finds Max mortified with embarrassment by the over-the-top antics of his dad, Goofy, when he brings his college girlfriend Mona home for the holidays. In 'Donald's Gift', Donald Duck just wants to stay at home and avoid the hassle of Christmas, but Daisy and the Nephews drag him out to the mall. In 'Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas', Pluto runs away in shame after accidentally destroying Mickey's prized Christmas decorations - and inadvertently ends up on a train to the North Pole. Review: More festive fun with Mickey and friends - This is the follow on from Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, although it is not essential to have seen the first DVD as this DVD holds no relevance to it, other than being a Disney Christmas DVD! (and this one is better in my opinion) Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas is a selection of short stories, rather than a film. There are 5 stories and each story is about 10 minutes long. Stories inlcude Belles On Ice, Christmas Impossible, Christmas Maximus, Donald's Gift and Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas. My daughters favourites seem to be Christmas Impossible and Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas. My favourite is probably Donald's Gift. However we enjoy all of them! In my opinion this is a brilliant Christmas DVD and is sure to get young children really excited over the festive season. It's classified as a U, which means it's suitable for absolutely all ages. I would say this DVD would best suit children upto around 10 years of age and is a good family DVD (although I wouldn't really recommend to those without children). It is perfect for the run up to Christmas and can teach children a number of things including morals, friendship and Christmas spirit to name a few. My young daughter also learnt a lot of new things about Christmas after watching Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas. Eg. Reindeer, Christmas carols, decorations. The whole DVD is in CGI which makes everything look brighter, bolder and more realistic than hand-drawn animation. Bonus footage includes Santa's Workshop Challenge, What is Donald Singing?, Santa's Sort, Inspiration On Ice, Snowball Madness and All Things Deleted. As with most bonus games, they aren't too great but if I was about 20 years younger I might enjoy them abit more! I recommend Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas to all children, families, Disney fans and those looking for a nice inoffensive Christmas DVD. Review: Great Mickey mouse DVD. - The best reviewer is our two-and-a-half year old daughter who loves this DVD, and she has been watching it over and over again ever since we gave it to her for Christmas. It's now February and she shows no sign of getting bored. The graphics are great, each of the stories typically with a Christmas message, and some memorable songs too. It's long time till next Christmas but definitely worth buying at any time. When we bought it, it was very cheap and excellent value for money. One of the best children's DVD we've ever bought. Get it. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Contributor | Matthew O'Callaghan, Pam Marsden | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 319 Reviews | | Format | PAL | | Genre | Animation | | Manufacturer | Walt Disney | | Number of discs | 1 | | Runtime | 1 hour and 8 minutes | ## Product Details - **Format:** PAL, DVD-Video - **Contributor:** Pam Marsden, Matthew O'Callaghan - **Runtime:** 1 hour and 8 minutes - **Colour:** Colour - **Manufacturer:** Walt Disney ## Images ![Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas [DVD] - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91C1a3a5bJL.jpg) ![Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas [DVD] - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/912C5r8fQcL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More festive fun with Mickey and friends *by A***A on 25 June 2010* This is the follow on from Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, although it is not essential to have seen the first DVD as this DVD holds no relevance to it, other than being a Disney Christmas DVD! This year they couldn't wait for it to come back on so begged for the DVD. It is split it 4 mini stories with Minnie, Huey, Duey and Luey, Mickey and Goofy. All the stories have a good message about kindness and friendship. Animation is lovely and background songs are catchy, I find myself humming! I would recommend this one over the "once upon a Christmas movie" which has a similar theme, but this one has better stories. Great movie that you can safely let the kids watch on their own. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas [DVD] - Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas [DVD] --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/50824815-mickeys-twice-upon-a-christmas-dvd](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/50824815-mickeys-twice-upon-a-christmas-dvd) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
