I bought this book for my 4-year old grandson who is starting a dance class and it is a wonderful book. We all love it because it has so much to learn about other countries and cultures through their dances. The photos showing costumes and people of all ages and genders, dancing all over the world, are really splendid. A lot of work and research went into this book and they did a fine job.

This is a beautiful book. My niece is a student of dance and will love the section on Ballet. In addition, the book includes the roots of each type of dance and important people within each genre. The illustrations are lovely and the reading level is appropriate for a nine year old. I know she will treasure this book for years to come.

I bought this book for my little cousin for Christmas. She is 11 and a dancer and she absolutely loves it! It has a lot of history of dance in it and is presented in a fun way. The pictures are great as well. I would recommend this for under 12 years of age as it is more an informative picture book than anything else.

DK always does a great job and their dance books are not exception. Beautiful images and clear content. It includes dance history which is great for any young student of dance.

This is the most ridiculous book I have ever owned on dance. There are just photographs, and a bit of very poor writing. It is large and cumbersome. I wish I had never bought it.

I love dance. This book tell you the begining of the dance from different places, until the present time. I really enjoy this book.For some one interesting in dance carreer or simply for information. It is very good.
