I love these rack nut replacements!!! They save your finger, make racking switches much easier, and look great. The only problem with them I see is they only work with 1ru devices, wish they would develop something for 2ru items like rack fan panels.

What can I say? These are the single greatest invention in the world of racks. No more pre-threaded holes stripping out and no more fumbling with cage nuts! They are super easy to install and remove in a matter of seconds. Buy them now!

Easily one of the greatest products for server/network cabs. While they only work for 1U rack items, they will make mounting said 1U items go MUCH faster. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that they DO NOT work with off-brand made in China rack ears for Cisco devices.

I've used hundreds of these rack-building. They are expensive but between fiddling with cage nuts and stripping them sometimes; these may actually pay for themselves in an hourly rate. They look nice too. Install quickly, makes things easier. Whats not to love?

I wish these had black or just uncoated silver coupling nuts. The only red I want to see when looking at my racks are when there are error lights. Also, the metal edges of the clips are surprisingly sharp. Careful.

Easy to install and removed. If you are "working" to remove them, watch the video. When installing them you have to make sure you get the little clip in the middle. It usually pops right in, but sometime it can take a little wiggling. These worked for all of my equipment. Really handy for things that need to be moved (patch panels). I've added them to three racks and it work well on each of them. (Picture is in-progress)

Very happy with these. Overkill for my home network rack, but this is the third approach I've tried and definitely prefer this. I went with this because it's all metal and some of my heavier devices were questionable with plastic studs that I had.

Sometimes a product comes along where you get excited about what else this company could do, this is one of those products. Now this is mainly for switches and stationary shelves, patch panels etc... It most likely will not work with anything that needs to sit flush that's on rails like a server. In any case this design and the quality is surprisingly good and makes you think, could this company make a universal tool-less rail system for generic non-enterprise servers? My guess is they could based off this product alone. My only gripe is the price but for how many of these you get, maybe chip in with a friend to purchase. This makes life easier, so please take my money.

Ich habe neulich meinen Serverschrank umgebaut und wollte dabei weg von den Käfigmuttern. Der Gedanke, dass man Schrauben hat, auf die man das einzubauende Gerät schieben kann und welches dann werkzeuglos mit Muttern gesichert wird, gefiel mir. Dieses Versprechen bieten die dev/mounts sowie die Rack Studs. Also habe ich beide bestellt und ausprobiert. Mit den Rack Studs bin ich so gar nicht klar gekommen. Ich habe mir dann noch zahlreiche Videos angeschaut, aber ich bekomme diese Plastikdinger einfach nicht in die Löcher bzw. anschließend nicht wieder raus. Selbst wenn ich es so mache, wie beschrieben, mit dem leichten Anwinkeln und von hinten drücken - das macht mir die Finger mehr kaputt als die alten Käfigmuttern, die ich ersetzen wollte. Vermutlich hat mein Serverschrank unpassende Löcher, obwohl man meint, das müsste doch alles genormt sein. Naja, egal. Jetzt zu den dev/mounts: diese lassen sich sehr einfach installieren und auch wieder entfernen! Das geht mit einer Hand absolut problemlos. Ich war sofort begeistert. Zum Entfernen der Klemmen, einfach das hintere Teil zur Seite drücken und schon löst sich die vordere Klammer. Einfacher geht es wirklich nicht. Dennoch 2 kleine Kritikpunkte: das Blech ist etwas scharfkantig, also Vorsicht bei der Montage. Allerdings habe ich mich selbst nach mehreren verbauten HE nicht verletzt, ist damit also vielleicht unbegründet. Wollte es dennoch erwähnen. Weiterhin sind die dev/mounts ausschließlich für 1 HE geeignet. Für die meisten Geräte passt das zwar, allerdings habe ich auch eine Blende von 2 HE. Diese konnte ich mit den dev/mounts leider nicht befestigen - schade. Ich hoffe der Hersteller lässt sich hier noch etwas einfallen. Etwa indem es spezielle 2 HE Ausführungen gibt oder an den Klemmen wird zumindest eine der beiden Schrauben so angebracht, dass diese entfernt werden kann. Derzeit sind beide Schrauben fest vernietet. Trotzdem ziehe ich dafür keinen Punkt ab, da das Produkt wie beworben funktioniert und mir die Arbeit am Serverschrank sehr erleichtert hat. Das Beste: man benötigt keinen Schraubenzieher mehr. Und es geht auch schneller, da mit jeder eingesetzten Klemme gleich 2 Schrauben angebracht werden. Je Gerät also eine Klemme links und eine rechts, das dauert nur wenige Sekunden. Die Bestückung des Schranks, insbesondere mit großen und schweren Geräten, war noch nie so einfach. Von mir gibt es damit eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Installare e rimuovere questi supporti è incredibilmente facile e veloce, senza più bisogno di attrezzi né di toccare bordi taglienti come accade con i dadi a gabbia tradizionali. La plastica utilizzata è resistente e il sistema è pensato davvero per evitare danni alle dita durante il montaggio. Ogni supporto offre due viti già pronte: basta inserirlo, scatta e il gioco è fatto. Sono ideali per chi cambia spesso configurazione o deve montare/smontare apparecchiature pesanti, rendendo il lavoro molto più rapido e sicuro. Il prodotto è compatibile con tutte le guide da 19" con fori quadrati e perfetto per 25 unità rack. Ottima anche la soluzione dei dadi esagonali reversibili, che facilitano ulteriormente il fissaggio. Dopo l’uso di questi supporti, i vecchi dadi a gabbia sembrano preistoria: qui tutto è più semplice e non si rischia di perdere pezzi o rovinarsi le mani. Un acquisto che consiglio a chiunque lavori con server rack, sia in ambito professionale che hobbistico. Un piccolo investimento che fa risparmiare tempo, nervi e mantiene ordinato e sicuro il proprio armadio rack.

These things are great and are very attractive. They are also unreasonably expansive. I’d never use these at work. There is no reason for paying so much. But in my home server rack where I am constantly unmounting and remounting different gear for staring purposes these rookies mounts a godsend. They look good too.

Absolut geniales Produkt. Wer schon einmal Käfigmuttern in EDV-Schränken montiert hat, weiß dieses Produkt sehr zu schätzen. Der Einbau ist in Sekundenschnelle erledigt. Kein gefummel, verlorene Muttern oder angekratzte Finger. Einfach Einklicken und fertig. Der Preis ist zweifelsohne hoch. Entspanntes Arbeiten hat seinen Preis und schont die Nerven. Für mich eine tolle Lösung und NEIN, ich bin nicht von der Firma und habe auch kein Geld für diese Rezension erhalten. EDV-Schrank Montagen mache ich ein bis zwei Mal im Jahr im Rahmen eines Projekts.

.... es macht die Installation von Switches und kleinen 1HE units natürlich sehr leicht. Um die Schrauben richtig anzuziehen sollte man aber auf jeden Fall Werkzeug nutzen. Zum Setzen von Zwischenböden, Blenden etc absolut top.... Es braucht auf jeden Fall ne 2HE Variante
