Beautiful scenary and a beautiful part of the country and texas is more beautiful out in the country than i thought and i was blown away how beautiful Granger's voice was in those songs and hes one of my top favorite singers and id love to meet him one day and attend one of his concerts because he has a classic country styled voice and he sings like an angel. ### ⭐⭐ Movie for people who prefer cotton candy *by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2023* The skimpy information about the movie should have warned me it would a piece of fluff with no substance. A "sweet" romance with some Christianity thrown in. I don't have anything against Christian movies, I just prefer not to watch them for the same reason I didn't like this movie. No substance or reality.This is a G rated movie, no foul language, no sex, no violence, no smoking, drugs or drinking.Aside from the plot (or lack of a substantial one) I was disappointed with the characterization. Will is a country singer whose wife died two years earlier and he's all closed up emotionally, lock, stock and barrel. No surprise there. Cliche plot. Whoever the actor was playing Will can't act very well, but I guess he boyish good looks make up for that. His 14-year-old daughter annoyed me throughout. She's determined to ride the horse her mother was riding the night she died and dad keeps saying no. The daughter ignores her dad (I suppose we're expected to forgive her for being a teenager?) on many occasions which was starting to irritate me.Will's two young sons were sweet boys who provide a bit of comic relief. Then to round off the daughter's irritating persona, she hires a horse trainer "Samantha" who shows up all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. She irritated me too. For starters, she could be Jennifer Lopez's twin and I can't stand Lopez. Sam's bright, optimistic personality is greatly exaggerated and comes across as if forcing us to like her. She's hired for two weeks and during those 14 days she solves the horse's problems, thaws Will out, has an answer for the father-daughter issues, etc. In that short time period she and Will fall in love (how unrealistic is that?) but she's got a boyfriend who can't make up his mind what he wants so she can't either.To be fair, most of my complaints are about the plot and dialogue. It has less substance than most Hallmark type movies. It's extremely predictable. Boring even. I finally fast-forwarded through the last 15 min or so. I didn't miss anything. I'm surprised at the five-star ratings and praise for the movie. Seems a lot of viewers out there want sweet, insipid, plotless movies that would fulfill a 12-year-old girls fantasies.Still, the heroine rides in, fixes everyone's problems, and lands the guy at the end. If you're looking for something to sink your emotional teeth into, this ain't it.Edit: as the movie seemed it was created to showcase Will's singing career I assumed the man playing and singing as Will must be a real singer. Had never heard of Granger Smith so looked him up. He seems ok, like a nice man, sings ok if you like modern CW but needs serious acting lessons if he plans on making more movies. The people who actually enjoyed this movie likely were fans of his Christian lifestyle and wouldn't care if he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. I'm not insulting the guy.
