Perfect application for my sagging side tent which attaches to my teardrop tab trailer. Made some wood disc bases with grommets for floor and keeps my tent from sagging in middle! Not heavy duty but working well for my application.

I have purchased this product to replace a cross pole on a Walmart backpacking tent. After measuring the pole to be replaced I cut one of the sections with a jigsaw and sanded down the rough end. The pole works as intended after the modifications were made. Its not as light as I would have liked but I still have a few leftover sections should I ever need a repair. The goal was to replace all of the fiber glass poles that came with the tent to aluminum and it worked and now the packed weight of the tents minimally lighter but possibly more sturdy. I would recommend this set if you need to make a special tent pole or repair a tent pole.

Good instructions and robust poles. Note, because the poles are aluminum, a pipe cutter is helpful for precise cuts. Can make any length of pole from the supplied packages both male or female ends (as long as your original pole is less than the length of this kit). Instructions are clear. Suggest get a longer total replacement length so you end up with a spare segment for future should you need it. I upgraded to a thicker pole diameter for a more robust replacement as my skinnier original tent poles showed cracks after several years of use.

Purchased this kit after a pole from our rain fly broke. This kit came with the two male tips we needed for this particular pole. It was relatively easy to assemble, but required a hack saw to cut the metal to the right size for the pole we needed. I sanded the rough edges after cutting so it won’t snag any fabric or wear down the elastic.
