My son ordered this for a special party. I was very impressed with the quality, price and just how good it lloked. My advice? Well worth getting for a simple but effective fancy dress outfit.

Sherlock is one of my all time favourite fictional characters, and this is the classic costume look. I got this for a costume party, and I still have it many years later for occasional fun! This is not a super high quality outfit, don't go expecting that here. What it is, is a cheap and cheerful full outfit that will make you and others smile. What you get in this bundle is very convenient as it saves you having to get pieces individually, and the price is perfectly reasonable for what you get. Nothing fancy, but if you want a fun and convenient party costume for book day, halloween etc, this is definitely worth a go.

Great size and fit looks great

Looking at the picture advertising this you would expect quite a thick well made, an almost woollen material - Not the case. It is made of a thin polyester, read the product details, and the moment I took it out the packet 2 buttons fell off. Badly creased, but you can’t use an iron on the material to straighten it out. It’ll do for Halloween but definitely not worth the £47 price tag.

For those looking to obtain a cheap fancy dress outfit with the minimum of fuss this Victorian Sherlock Holmes outfit will do but it is not great quality nor likely to stand up to much repeated use. The coat itself is thin (but that's fair enough considering the price tag) and really needs ironing from the packet before you can use it as the whole outfit comes in a plastic poppers sealed bag as is thus quite screwed up. The waistcoat with shirt and bow tie is very perfunctory. Very thin it again will do the job but in honesty is not that convincing as the bow tie is attached only loosely and does not stay in place that well. The deerstalker is also of poor quality and is possibly the least impressive of the three items. Again, with a bit of help it does create the desired look but fools no-one that this is anything other than a toy fancy dress outfit. The reason for my overall award of three stars however is that you have to take into account the price of this item. For the money asked it would be impossible to supply an outfit of high quality. To hire a better outfit would in all likelihood cost more than the asking price here for just one night so you have to put things into perspective. If you want to look like a realistic Victorian then hire a costume but if playing Holmes for an evening is just a bit of fun for a party etc you will be o.k. here. Cheap but not necessarily nasty.

I have worn this wonderful Sherlock Holmes costume now on several occasions and it is fabulous. I have worn it when doing book signings of my own Sherlock Holmes pastiche and have had very postive comments on how lovely the costume is. One minor points though, can the next production of this costume for the waistcoat have pockets to place a pocket watch in? That would be fantastic as it would be rather cool to be able to whisk out a pocket watch as Holmes very often did with his! Other than that it is a great costume and excellent value for money. Or as Sherlock Holmes himself would say....The Game's Afoot! ;)

Needed for world book day. Good quality and will be used over and over again.

Received this recently but no hat included

Lleva un chaleco camisa que se adapta a dos tallas y el abrigo capa está muy bien. Hay que plancharlo todo. pero a mí me ha gustado mucho. Tela fina

Extremely poor quality and sewing. Wasn't expecting much when we ordered it, but this is terrible, especially for the cost. Buttons were falling off as soon as we unpacked it, sewing is so rough I would have to take apart and repair most of the coat, and all of the hat. And no, ironing and steaming would not solve the multiple problems with these items. Worst I've seen, especially for a product that's "new". Basically belongs in the garbage. Not worth one star.

Elementary! Ich bin mehr als zufrieden, hätte ich doch nur mit einem Cape und einer Mütze mittlerer Qualität gerechnet. Geliefert wurde jedoch gute (wenn auch nicht all zu warme Qualität und eine Weste mit angenähtem Hemdkragen inklusive Fliege. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die Tatsache, dass man die letzteren nicht von einander trennen kann und somit eine extra Weste benötigt, sollte man ein ganzes Hemd und Fliege tragen wollen.

Produit parfaitement conforme au visuel, contrairement à bien d'autres déguisements dans ce business. L'épaisseur du tissu correspond, la coupe et la texture au toucher. Car il s'agit de vrai tissu et non d'un polyester ou autre supercherie. Très convaincant en photo, en murder party, jeu "Sherlock Holmes Detective Conseil" ou pour une soirée déguisée. Bien sûr ça ne vaut pas un vrai tweed taillé sur mesure, qualité cinéma, mais pour ce prix, c'est carrément donné. Je recommanderai très certainement d'autres déguisements Fun Shack si la qualité est de ce niveau.
