Be sure you have sufficient table space
Very sturdy structure, we’ve had ours for over a year and it’s been a great buy. We keep ours on the floor.

My tortoise loves his new housing!
I bought this for my russian tortoise who loves it! He has become much more friendly and enjoys digging around and going up and down his ramp. He also loves the house and sleeps in it nightly. It was easy to put together as the instructions were really clear! The only thing is you need a power drill to put the screws in.I also recommend not screwing the the house/ ramp part and middle mesh cover part in for ease of cleaning. As the directions point to drilling them to the base structure, which if you do, cleaning will be impossible.I still give it 5 starts because it actually allows for the tortoises to feel safe, secure, and provides plenty of room for them to walk around. Its sturdy and safe plus really cute looking.Absolutely recommend this terrarium to anyone with a smaller tortoise!

Worth the money
Beautiful cage and fairly easy to put together, worth the money. Minus a star because nowhere in the directions does it say/show to keep the black tray inside the base of the cage when putting it together. We put the whole cage together and realized there’s no step for inserting the black tray so we had to take it apart and put it together again. Also, it is rather hard to clean the back of the cage under the second floor. It would be nice if both screens on the bottom were able to open as it would enable easier cleaning.

High quality but some serious issues!!
The media could not be loaded. I was excited to get this item for my 6 month old tortoise but the description raised a few red flags. There were no pictures of the ramp. Also there were no pictures of the inside of the habitat. Upon setting it up I realized that the ramp system is very steep. Also, the end of the ramp comes very very close to the wall and cannot be adjusted. The steepness of the ramp makes it so that the tortoise cannot climb up or down comfortably and when trying to go down goes into a violent slide (see video). After the violent slide it will crash into the wall as the end of the ramp is only 4 inches away from the wall. Also the metal hook and eye system that connects the ramp leaves a large gap that the tortoise can easily get a leg or arms stuck in. I was excited to use this as a long-term habitat for my tortoise but considering the end of the ramp is only 4 in away from the wall it will make turning very difficult and over time almost impossible to access the ramp. So now at 6 months old my tortoise is too small to use the ramp as he can get stuck in it or go sliding down and soon he will be too big to use it as the Wall Gap is only 4 in from the ramp. Another issue is that screw guide holes have not been provided in locations and you have to try to gauge for yourself some of the distances when applying the wood screws. It would be nice if the holes were pre-aligned for you with some sort of marking or drill hole. I will say that this is a well-made hardwood product and the quality seems very good. However with these problems it would be nice if they had listed pictures of the ramp and the further specifications so that a person could make an informed decision if this was going to work for them. It would also be nice if they could add some holes for wiring for heaters/lights, ECT. Also, when my habitat arrived one of the wooden walls had a large crack in it (see photos). I applied some glue just to stabilize the crack but overall was disappointed that item arrived damaged.

Cute Little Tortoise House
This house is a great little house for our new tortoise. He has plenty of room to roam around and we have great access to him in the house. The hardest area to get to him in is the underneath of the house section, however I believe that is only a struggle since he is only 3 months old. As he gets older it will be easier to get him out of the enclosure when needed.

Toxic pet house
Pet house came with pungent smell. How to describe that? A smell of cedar mix with construction glue. This tortoise house is not made of cedar AKA Chinese fir but not the fir you think about or whatever they listed on the website. Do your research and this material is toxic for reptiles. Sent the item back and they didn’t refund me the full price I paid. A total ripoff. Spend your money somewhere else.

The bottom of this cage is plastic, but the second level is particle board.
I got this cage for my baby Red Foot Tortoise to have as an outdoor turnout. He loves to climb around in his current tank, and I'm excited to see him go through to the different levels. It was super easy to put together; the instructions were great, and the parts were very well organized. The only problem I foresee is that the upper level is made out of particle board; which will not last super well outside. It also might be a little difficult to clean out the lower level. The video that is shown in the ad is a little misleading, as it shows the house being easily lifted off of the plastic bottom. Truthfully, you have to screw the house onto the bottom in order to put the cage together.

Great little house!
This is a great size for our Russian tortoise. Plenty of room to explore, dig, etc. Like others, we didn't screw in the top to the bottom. There was no need and it will make cleaning easier. We also got glued magnets on the roofs instead of securing the hinges to make opening them easier.
