I was so pleased to find a handle to fit my 2006 VW Beetle. I had been looking for over 2 years. It’s wonderful to have a door handle again!

These door handles will solve the issue of those horrible plastic handles that were originally installed, just bear in mind 2 things, don't buy the black ones, instead go with the aluminum ones as the black coating peels off easily, and beware that this is metallic and it will get cold sometimes.

I recently purchased the door handle set compatible with my 2008 VW Beetle, and while the installation was mostly straightforward, there are a couple of points to consider before diving in. First, it's important to note that you will need to cut away the old broken door handle. If you don’t have the right tools or feel uncomfortable doing this, it’s best to pass on this product. However, if you’re handy, the installation can be completed in about 15 minutes once you’ve removed the old handle. That said, I did find that the bottom spacer and screw could be a bit longer. This would provide a more secure fit and alleviate any concerns about stability after installation. On the plus side, the quality of the aluminum material is impressive—corrosion-resistant and durable, which gives me confidence in its longevity. Overall, while there are some minor considerations, I’m pleased with the functionality and look of the new handles. Just be prepared for the initial removal of the old handle!
