More equipment needed though. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 August 2017* Got this to distribute the new sky Q box signal with power over an aerial cable to other rooms. I previously used the RF2 out with power on the back of the old sky+ box to send the TV picture and power to other rooms via a powered distribution system. Our house has aerial sockets built in the walls in most rooms so I connected the sky+ box RF2 output with power to the living room aerial socket which went into the loft and attached this to a powered aerial signal distributor which got its power via the aerial cable from sky+ RF2 output with power. This was then fed down through the various aerial cables in the walls to the other rooms. On upgrading to Sky Q this was no longer possible as this box does not have an aerial out or power out. However, there is a work around with this unit providing you have at least 1 Sky Q mini box. The Sky Q mini has a consolidated output minijack on the rear. You can buy a cable from sky approx £4.75 (or if you are having sky Q fitted ask the fitter for one) and an RF modulator approx £10 from amazon or other suppliers and recreate this situation. You also need the triax power supply unit approx £8 to connect to this box as well and this will supply the power. The sky cable plugs into the modulator from the Sky Q mini box the modulator output then plugs into this box by ordinary aerial cable then an ordinary aerial cable outputs the signal and the power from this box to in my case the living room aerial socket and then distributed as before. The cable you can see in the picture of this box is only applicable to the newer sky+ boxes and is not needed in the scenario I have given and can simply be ignored. You can go further and also buy (they are £20 though) a touch remote from sky that they only give you for the main box but you can in fact use it with the mini box. (Or to save money you can pair the original with the mini box) The reason to do this is that they are Bluetooth and you could happily sit 2 stories up and change channels on the mini box. A bully's bonus since it does away with all those magic eyes that we had to use all over the house to change channels. Hope this help some people. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS ONE WITH A POWER SUPPLY AND YOU'RE ALL SET *by S***W on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 April 2015* Having already purchased the cheaper I/O Rf2 (link below), I quickly realised that the sky box wasn't generating enough power through the coax to power my 2 tv's (one upstairs, one in the cellar). I then purchased this model, along with a power supply (WHICH YOU NEED FOR MORE THAN 1 TV) and it's working great. I'm running it from the I/O port, into my cellar and into a triax 4 way adapter and booster (link below), then splitting the signal off to 3 tv's. 2 in the cellar (15m cable) and one in the bedroom - 35m cable). So far the picture on both screens has been excellent, as has the sound. At present I'm using an older magic eye upstairs, which doesn't seem to be receiving enough power. This could obviously be the cables extra length, but when I swapped the old and new one about the new one seemed to have sufficent power even on the longer cable. After some research this product appeared to solve this problem. After initially connecting the unit, I thought, like some of the 1 star reviews, that I had a faulty unit, however... whilst the manufactures say this item is plug and play this was not the case for me.To get the unit to function as designed, I had to turn the RF output on from within the Sky box. Using the Sky remote and pressing services 0 0 1 and then the select button brought up a hidden menu with a tab for RF Output settings. I simply turned the RF output on and selected the save option...
