This kind of thing seems to always divide people but over the years I have placed one of these in my car and achieved the same outcome, this one was no different. You could look on the internet and Youtube but it would only be realistic for your particular application. What I have found is that the response after the install may or not be what you are expecting. It is hard to explain why this is as I am not mechanic or expert in this field. In the past, each time I have swapped for this type of filter the car just behaves as normal but perhaps lacking in a little low down torque compared with the paper filter. You will drive the car as normal for around 400 or more miles and then you will notice the difference. I dont have an exact figure as all cars that I have owned responded differently. The Hyundai Getz for example took a month and over 1000 miles before it got interesting. During this period the torque loss was very noticeable and annoying. Once the 'bedding' in period was over this thing was rapid in terms of low down torque and throttle response. So this filter is for my VW Touran which I do enjoy driving but I wanted a little bit more low down torque. I am not interested in top end power. With more torque the auto box will change up earlier and keep in the high gears for longer. This all means that fuel consumption gets better. This is what I wanted it for. The car is a 1.4 Tsi and now on the motorway in gear 7 you can feel that the car has more ability to accelerate or keep the same speeds over the sleep inclines. So for me this is a good change but you need to be patient. Perhaps the delay in the engine response could be due to the ecu taking time to adjust but, again, I have no scientific evidence except how I feel when I drive it.

Good product, increased HP by increasing airflow

Installed to Leon 1.4 TSI 125HP. Perfect fit. Performance: Did not dyno, byt I must say that the engine has more live and better response to the gas pedal. I'm not saying it has more horsepower, but definitely quicker response from low rpm. Easier for turbocharger to get air needed.

EDIT** Contacted K&N customer service regarding missing stickers. They were very responsive and sent numerous replacement stickers and even an woven iron on patch! Great customer service. ** Easily installed and immediately noticed an improvement to throttle response. Have only made a few relatively short journeys since install so can’t comment on any change in mpg. Would give 5 stars but decal/sticker missing from inside the box. Although trivial, this is a useful addition to prevent mechanics from discarding, and when paying £50+ for a car air filter, I would expect this to be included.

Have used K&N filters in previous car and motorbike. This one fits beautifully in my Skoda Yeti. Removal of the filter housing is fiddly on this later model and took a bit of head scratching

Purchased for my leon 1.4tsi.Dosent take long just 10mins mac and hasn't made my mpg any worse.

Purchased for my 2016 Jetta SE 1.4 TSI. Perfect fit! Changed at the same time as my spark plugs and my car runs better and faster than it did when I bought it new! I know it’s a pricey filter but it’s well worth it! There are a list of pros with absolutely no cons! Buy this filter! I promise you won’t regret it, I didn’t. 💁🏻‍♀️😍

Der Luftfilter ist bei mir in einem Golf 7 mit dem 1.4L Tsi verbaut und passt genau wie der Orginal Filter in den Luftfilterkasten. Das Ansauggeräusch ist nur ganz minimal lauter unter Last als mit dem orginal Filter. Der große Vorteil dieses Filters ist dass er nur ausgewaschen werden muss und dann wiederverwendet werden kann. Das ist nicht nur Nachhaltig, sondern auch kostengünstiger auf Dauer.
