Great wheel for beginner intermediate ceramicist that is an affordable option for home use. It allows me to practice throwing without having to go into the studio! The splash pans easily cone apart for easy cleaning and it is light and portable for home use.

Was a birthday gift for my daughter, works great and she is happy with it however was disappointed that it didn't have a foot pedal as described. By the time she caught it was missing, it was to late to return.

Everything is great. It’s small and cute, seems sturdy. Except for the most important thing, which is the pedal and the speed. The moment it’s turned on, it starts spinning. The pedal will only speed up the spinning process, and can’t slow it down. So now I’m stuck with this super high speed spinning wheel that it actually hurts my palm when I try to throw on the wheel. I was excited to try it out and it’s such a bummer that the pedal didn’t work. Edit to add: the seller reached out to me and offered to send a different wheel. The new wheel came, worked, and everything was great. Their customer service is also really good.

Purchased the 3-leg mint-green wheel with the plastic foot pedal. It worked fine for the first 3x uses. On the 4th use the wheel was randomly stuck on high speed in the middle of using it and it would not shut off unless you cut the power. I opened up the plastic pedal and was fortunately able to troubleshoot the problem w/o customer service because the user manual has no troubleshooting tips. Inside theres a black gear and a white gear. The white gear controls the speed, and the black gear is attached to the pedal and pushes against the white gear when pressure is applied. Somehow they got off track. The white gear needed to be adjusted back to an off/neutral position. This required a Phillips screwdriver to disassemble the black gear from the pedal to allow you to manually twist the white gear back to the off position. Afterwards, reassemble the black gear to align with the corrected white gear. Works fine now (so far). I can see where it will probably happen again so the pedal should be used with gentle pressure to prevent the cheap plastic gears from getting off track. Otherwise satisfied for the price.

This is a great beginner wheel. I am an art teacher and have taken wheel throwing classes at a studio prior to buying. I took a chance on this and it was such a great buy. I have thrown up to 5 pounds so far on this model. It works great, good speed, quiet. I’ve been able to learn and work well with this machine and would recommend to anyone thinking about getting into it! As a beginner, putting it on cinder blocks to make it higher/the correct height has made a HUGE difference. So much easier now, make sure you get it at the correct height to avoid back strain and correct your craft

Bought this for my 14 yr old daughter, beginner, about 6 months ago and she loves it. Makes a piece every chance she gets. Haven't seen her throw more than about 3 pds at a time but she could easily do more. It's very durable and consistent. Finding the center point was a little challenge for her at first but she figured it out. Highly recommend.

You’re better off saving for a real pottery wheel. If you’re trying to make miniature pottery, this would be great. The motor isn’t strong enough for handling anything over a quarter pound of clay. I decided to buy a quality wheel after wasting money on this. I will attempt to send back, but not sure how easy it would be..sigh.
