Grade 2 Addition (Kumon Math Workbooks)

Great intro into adding double digit numbers. Lots of practice questions to ensure success. We bought this after having success with book 1 and this is equally good.

This book is great to provide extra help with learning for young children.

Built up logically from the basics to more complicated tasks. I have two kids in primary. One week they doing addition, next week substraction, third week multiplying and dividing and they are not even able to count to ten. So I thought to myself if the school is not able to teach them thematically, logically built on the basics I will have to do it myself. Kumon books are SUPERly organised.

My son’s adding ability has really improved with the additional practice from using this book, he’s gained confidence from the repetition and enjoys doing it too

I love these books because they're neat, well-structured, clean and have no silly animal pictures (very distracting and cause confusion). I find other books too cluttered with silly pictures of "cute" animals. I often hear parents moan about the repetitive nature of the books. Don't they get it? That, is the whole point of the programme. The children need to do the sums over and over again until they attain mental recall of basic sums making no mistakes (score 100%). It's progressive, starting with the basics before moving on to harder tasks. We use these books to complement other applied Maths books.

This book is ideal to help young learners to improve with addition in maths. My son enjoyed using this book to help him understand addition in a simple and easy to understand way. kumon produces good books that are both educational and fun for kids. I highly recommend them.

kumon workbooks have been great for my children. the supplementary exercises have played a huge part in aiding my children in getting top marks at school.
