My windows face my porch (this porch is HOT, it's the portal to hell I believe) anyway right way, within a few minutes of covering them I could feel a 50% reduction in heat. I couldnt believe it. If you are in a hot home and trying to cool it down GET THIS PRODUCT. I found it to be easy to install as well. I just moved and took mine with me, easy to remove. The best part also is you can open all your curtains in the daytime and no one can see in.

Exactly What I Needed—Daylight In, Prying Eyes Out! I bought this window privacy film because I was tired of feeling like I was living in a fishbowl—hi, neighbors 👋. Installing this stuff was surprisingly easy. Just cleaned the glass, sprayed a little soapy water, slapped it on, and smoothed it out with a card. Done. No tools. No stress. The best part? It lets in tons of light but completely blocks visibility from the outside during the day. I stood outside and couldn’t see a thing—even when I squinted like I was solving a crime. Bonus points: it actually looks pretty. The pattern gives a frosted-glass vibe without the cost or commitment. Oh—and if you mess up during application? Just peel and reposition. Forgiving like a grandma with cookies. If you want privacy without sacrificing sunlight or style, get this film. Your windows will look good, your space will feel brighter, and you won’t have to wave at every dog walker strolling by.

This is a great product. I can stand inside my garage and look out and no one can see inside. You may see a shadow at night with a light on inside. It was not difficult to apply.

Loved how easy this was to install! We got a large roll and cut it to fit three pieces for our big windows facing another apartment building (and still had some leftover). Our neighbors love to hangout in the alley way between our two buildings and stare at us throughout the day, so we decided to get some privacy film to make our home a little more comfortable! Since our windows are so big, I was nervous to cut and apply the film. (Two of our windows are 29.5in x 27.5in, and our kitchen window is 23.5in. x 40in.) However, I found that cutting an extra half inch and using a tape measurer made the process less stressful since I could always cut while applying the film to the window. After cleaning the windows, I generously sprayed the window with a bottle of dish dawn soap with water. The film was easy to adjust to my liking and I even had enough time to cut any excess off before using an old credit card to smooth out the film and remove excess water and bubbles. Using a towel around the edges to pick up the water helped with sealing the edges of the film. (Also I found that the credit card was enough to get rid of the bubbles despite the size of the windows!) Now, we no longer have to experience awkward stares from our neighbors! As you can see from the photos, light is still able to come into the apartment, but the view is frosted, which is just what we wanted. The only con of the film is that it enhances the details of paint that are on the other side of our window that we could not clean. It doesn't bother us too much, but from some of the comments, it may bother others. We don't live on the ground floor so we aren't able to clean the other side, but if you do then I'd recommend trying to clean the window to see if the white marks disappear!

Does this stuff work? Absolutely it does!! My son's bedroom faces directly east and gets full sun from sunrise until about 2:00 PM. We do not have any large trees to provide shade, so his room was always much hotter during the summer than the rest of the house. I installed this window film and we could immediately see a difference in temperature the following day. It does not hinder the view looking outside, but if you're outside, looking in, it's completely reflective during the day time. The installation was super easy too. I recommend using a razor blade and some Windex to clean the glass first, then make sure it's completely dry. Get a spray bottle of soapy water and one of those little shower squeegees when you go to put the film on the glass. If you've never done this before, watch a video on youtube on how to install car window tint, it's basically the same thing. First you'll want to cut the film so that it's about 1.5 inches larger than your glass in both directions. Then spray lots of soapy water in the glass. Next, you peel the backing off of the film and "float" it into position, using the squeegee to smooth out the air-bubbles. The film will actually start to cling automatically. Again, just watch a video on youtube. Definitely worth the money paid.

I purchased this item to help block out some sun in the early mornings by my desk, the angle of the sun hits the top of my window and makes seeing the compute very difficult for about an hour. I received the product, it was very thick and I hoped that meant good quality. I cut a piece to size, removed the protective film and placed it on the window. Two things, first the thickness that I hoped indicated quality made the product too heavy to stick easily. Window preparation is key here. Window needs to be perfectly clean for this to stick. If that was the only issue, I would give this a 4 or 5 star, but the product does not decrease the light through the window very much. I ended up using 2 layers of the product, this does not look great, but if it is functional I am happy leaving this as a 3 star review.

What a fantastic product and so easy to install if you take the time to read and follow the very easy instructions. I greatly reduced the greenhouse effect in my living room by covering my windows in this film and it took no time at all. This will save me a lot on electrical costs. the ghost grid pattern makes it so easy to measure to fit closely and the final trimming is done on the window with a sharp blade and a straight edge. I have read the lower reviews and it seems that people may have not been paying attention to the product description because it does exactly what it says. Great product!
