Just what I ordered

The rods are good, a pack of 50 x 33cm long 4043 grade aluminium filler rods for TIG use. The package is quite small when it arrives as its not that many rods in real terms, but conversely, they are fairly cheap to buy. They run fine. The product listing is very misleading though, showing lots of irrelevant processes and information and the pictures in the listing shows "example photos from one batch", but I note that there are lot more rods in the picture than in the actually received product, also there is a stamped rod type shown on the end of each rod, but no such stamping exists on the aluminium rods, they are just a simple unmarked straight rod.

The welding rods arrived in good condition (straight upon arrival) in a plastic bag and I received the 1.6mm thickness welding rod which comes in a pack of 50. The listing for the rods doesn’t dictate a length, but they each measure approximately 33cm. The rods can be cut with heavy duty wire cutters and the thickness looks to be true. It is best to clean away any remaining manufacturing residues with IPA before use. Personally, I am using the rods for model making and they are perfect for this application. Priced at £9.99 at the time of reviewing, these aluminium rods have a uniform length / diameter and although I am not using them for their advertised purpose (nor am I able to test the welding aspect), the rods appear to be of good quality so I would be happy to recommend them for model making.
