Yes they can be handled but I would recommend when the are about 1 month old so they are bigger and stronger. When born they are very tiny n fragile. They took a while to hatch but they are great now, 6 hatched out of 10

Q: I want this for a Christmas present . When should I order it as it contains eggs

We would suggest ordering the Live Twig Kit the weekend of 15th December, dispatch should then be Monday 17th and delivery is 1-3 working days. You will need to keep an eye on the eggs in case they do hatch before Christmas, as the Stick Insects will need feeding once they emerge.

Q: When should I buy this as a gift for Christmas?

You can purchase a Twig kit that comes with a voucher to redeem for the eggs, this may be a better option as a Christmas Gift. If you did wish to purchase the Live kit, please order around 11th/12th December to catch the last week of dispatch before Christmas. You will need to check on the eggs daily once the parcel arrives as the eggs may hatch before Christmas day and will require feeding.
