Waterproof and easy to apply. Ideal for small amounts of outdoor metal.
This paint works brilliantly on the metal above the outside of my window frames. The white finish makes the windows look much brighter and fresher. It dires smooth and glossy so it blended in well with the frames. I applied it with a paint brush directly from the can. Oddly, it was thick to apply but still dripped off the brush somewhat frequently but it was easy to get a consistent covering after two coats. Despite using white spirit to clean the bruch afterwards, it still dried hard, so use a brush with the expectation of throwing it away afterwards.

Does what it says on the tin - YOU MUST FOLLOW application RULES to the letter !
My radiators are 45 years old and have never been painted. I wiped them down with a kitchen sponges sourer side and then with a tea towel wiped them clean. I then very carefully followed the instructions to the letter ! I made sure the heating had been off 24 hours so the house and radiators were completely cold. I then sprayed a mist coat over the radiator adhering to the distance I should spray from exactly. The moment I saw a single little run of paint I stopped spraying immediately. The paint is very forgiving if you get a run and stop immediately as it appears to self level and the run disappeared. I left further application coats time window to double to what the instructions said so: 1 Mist coat - leave one hour. 2 Next coat - leave one hour. 3 Next coat - leave one hour. 4 Next coat - leave one hour. I then left the heating off for a further 24 hours to allow the paint to fully cure. Each coat I applied in opposite directions, so first coat horizontally, then next virtually etc etc. The end result was I had a radiator that looked like a brand new gloss enamelled radiator and looks beautiful. The application is all about prep, not rushing and using correctly. The spray paint quality is wonderful giving a super gloss bright white finish that looks just like a brand new enamel radiator. One can is enough for one average sized radiator.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ideal for Gates and Railings. Tough, Glossy, and Long-Lasting
This Hammerite Direct to Rust gloss paint is perfect for outdoor metalwork. I used it on gates and railings, and it went on smoothly with great coverage. The finish is rich and glossy, and it really brings tired metal back to life. No need for a separate primer - it goes straight onto rust and seals it in. Minimal dripping, dries evenly, and feels durable. The 8-year protection claim seems solid based on how well it’s holding up so far. Highly recommended if you want a no-fuss, professional-looking result for exterior metal surfaces.

Gives a perfect finish with every use!
I love the brand Hammerite - its quality shines through with every tin I’ve ever bought. I got this one to paint my garden fence to change the metal decor from gold to silver. Coated decently with one coat, but just to give it a nice build I applied two coats. Very easy paint to work with and applies to a brush nicely, clean up is straight forward with some car thinners (cellulose).

Great Paint - tough, glossy, and built to last!
If your garage door is looking a little sad and weather-beaten, Hammerite Oxford Blue Garage Door Paint is here to bring it back to life. This isn’t just any old paint, it’s tough, glossy, and built to last, like a fresh suit of armor for your garage. First off, the color. Oxford Blue is a deep, rich blue that looks bold without being too in-your-face. It’s got that classy, almost regal feel, like your garage door is about to start making royal decrees. And once it dries? That glossy finish makes it look brand new, as if you’ve just installed a fancy new door rather than given it a fresh coat. Application is pretty straightforward. It goes on smoothly, but it’s thick, so don’t go overboard on the brush or roller unless you want drips. One coat can sometimes be enough, but if you’re covering a lighter color, two will do the trick. The best part? No primer needed, this stuff grips metal surfaces like a pro. Durability-wise, Hammerite lives up to its reputation. It’s weather-resistant, meaning rain, sun, and the occasional football bouncing off the door won’t chip away at it. Plus, it helps prevent rust, which is a huge win if your garage door has seen better days. Downsides? Well, it takes a while to fully dry, so patience is key. Also, once you open the tin, the smell reminds you that this is serious, industrial-strength paint, not the kind you want to use in a closed space without ventilation. Overall, if you want a garage door that looks sharp, stays protected, and holds up against the elements, this is a solid pick. The Oxford Blue shade is deep, bold, and durable, and the glossy finish gives your garage that fresh, just-painted look for ages. Highly recommended for a quick and dramatic and durable upgrade.
