Povidone iodine, the generic name for Betadine, is a great antiseptic with broad activity and low chance of resistance. I recommend it for first aid kits for all the places I work with. The only problem is that it is extremely messy and likely to stain clothing. Confining it to a wipe like this solves the problem. I keep a box of these around in my first aid kit, and use them regularly. They are a bit more difficult to tear open than alcohol swabs - use the notch on each packet. The pad is thin, but gets the job done. Side note: Not sure why Amazon wanted me to rate the "flavor" of this product, but keep it away from kids that might eat it.
