I bought the Tapo T315 specifically to monitor conditions inside my indoor greenhouse, and it’s been brilliant. I needed something accurate and easy to check from my phone without constantly opening the greenhouse and disturbing the environment – and this does exactly that. The setup was really simple through the Tapo app. Within minutes I could see real-time temperature and humidity readings, plus clear graphs showing how conditions change throughout the day. This has been a game changer for keeping my plants happy, especially with more sensitive tropical species that need stable humidity. Accuracy seems spot on when compared with other meters I’ve used, and I love the alert feature – I get notifications if the temperature or humidity goes outside the range I’ve set. That’s saved me a few times when the room got too cold at night. The battery life is excellent and the screen is clear even inside the slightly humid greenhouse environment. It’s small enough to sit neatly on a shelf without getting in the way, and the build quality feels solid.

I bought this - as it's portable and I appear to have invested a lot into TAPO products. It has easily been added into my array of devices. I like this as it has a screen - so I don't need to log into the app to get my required data. The screen is readable no matter if in direct sunlight or not - which is sleek. I flip it between the out house and living room. It updates quickly - every couple of seconds, which is nice. My other TAPO temp sensors update at least every 30 seconds... As I always wonder, since I have many TAPO sensors around, I put this one in the same location and see if I get the same results. Thankfully I do - which is good as I have spent a lot on TAPO stuff. It's good how you can link all this stuff to do smart functions and it also keps a log of temp & humidity - for two years. Amazing how this stuff is cool once you get old

Bit pricy, but works well

The Tapo T315 smart room thermometer is excellent. It accurately measures temperature and humidity and the display is clear and easy to read. The device is well-made and works reliably indoors. One thing to note is that it won’t connect to the app unless you have the Tapo Home Extension device. If you’re aware of that, it’s easy to set up and works perfectly for monitoring your room conditions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable indoor thermometer.

I think this is a fantastic bit of kit, and great how you can monitor on the go and set up smart actions. Really impressed so far and a must have in studios with instruments like mine. So easy to connect it up too.

The Tapo is brilliant; the screen is large and very clear. I use it in a dark room to measure humidity; the temperature is very accurate and I use it with the air-con which only displays the set point. The humidity works over a range of 45 and 75 (tested). I have not tested it with the hub yet but plan to purchase more of these across the house and into the hub. I think the value for money is excellent.

These are good as a stand alone item but better when you link them into your Tapo Smart Radiator Thermostats. Obviously the room is hotter near the radiator so you can use this, linked or not, to see what the temp is in different parts of the room. Once you have got your readings you can adjust the smart stat accordingly. They look quite smart and are easy to use. Also lets you know about humidity, you can link into a Tapo smart plug to turn on fans if too hot and dehumidifiers if the air is too humid. They are only small so can go almost anywhere.
