The Best Mosquito Repellent available.
The best option I've found for keeping mosquitoes away. I'm one of those people that act as a mosquito lure, and always get bit if the little devils are around. The Ranger Ready spray smells okay, and (most importantly) doesn't cause a rash when used directly on my skin. And, of course, it keeps the pesky biters at bay. I used to just endure the itchy mosquito bites, because other sprays left me with an itchy rash that was as uncomfortable as the itch of the bites. A doctor friend insisted that I must keep mosquitoes from biting because of the diseases they carry, possibly including Dengue Fever and Malaria. What a relief to find this spray that solves the rash problem. We have reordered several times, because it works!

Best mosquito spray available in my opinion
I have tried multiple sprays, soaps and wipes as I live in the Southeast and mosquitoes are huge problem in the Summer. I spend alot of time outdoors and get chewed up pretty good. This spray is by far my favorite and the only one that seems to keep the mosquitoes at bay for hours. It doesn't have a greasy feel once it dries (Almost immediately after applying) and it has a few different scents that are all very nice. I can spray it on in the morning and go all day without having to respray. It doesn't seem to sweat off my skin and I rarely get bothered by mosquitoes when wearing it. I have bought this brand multiple times and will continue to do so. I can't recommend it enough

Annoying pump, effective product
This is the second bottle of this stuff I’ve had with a spray top that let me down. First one completely failed to rebound after “pulling the trigger” after using about half the bottle. Figured it was my fault and transferred the product to a different spray bottle. Fast forward to my most recent purchase and this time the sprayer trigger only rebounds about halfway. To get a full spray you have to push the spray trigger back out. Wish it was more dependable because I like the bigger grip this design affords. YMMV but I’m seeking out other brands going forward. Product works as advertised and is effective against mosquitos and ticks. Not as effective against black flies that show up on the beach in the gulf.

Finally — A Bug Repellant That Meets My High Standards
I have very sensitive skin and a long checklist for any product I use: fragrance-free, PEG-free, no hormone disruptors, no alcohols, non-greasy, dermatologist-tested, etc. Ranger Ready checks all the boxes and actually works. I’ve tried peppermint sprays and other natural methods, but they never gave me full protection — and I ended up smelling like a candy cane. This has been a game-changer! I use it on my legs and arms during outdoor workdays, and I’m finally bite-free. If you’re also wearing sunscreen, here’s a helpful tip: apply your sunscreen first, wait 10–15 minutes, then apply Ranger Ready. I like to pat it on gently instead of rubbing to avoid disrupting my sunscreen layer or cause pilling. This way, the repellent forms a protective shield over your SPF without interfering with either product's effectiveness or active ingredients. Yes, the label says “80% other ingredients,” but I looked it up — it's just water, stabilizers, and solubilizers. Nothing toxic, irritating or hidden. There is a faint chemical scent when first sprayed into the hands, but it’s subtle and fades quickly. The texture feels slightly slick at first but dries down nicely, leaving no sticky residue. The spray nozzle works great and even has a lock feature - although mine did leak slightly in transit, it was minimal. If you’re tired of battling bites with patchy essential oil coverage and want something that truly works — this is it. It's safe, effective, and worth every penny.

Scented - Not for Sensitive Skin.
There are many things I really enjoyed about this bug repellent. The picardin is effective but not as sticky as DEET. It lasts a long time time. I get off work at 5 and spend the rest of the night outside with my dog and we're having a much better summer because of this bug repellent. You get a decent amount of product for the money. The sprayer does work upside down. The trigger is more ergonomical than a spritzer cap. I ordered the midnight sky scent. It's a bold scent and it stays with you. I like it a lot because it makes me nostalgic for my dad's after shave. Sometimes the scent can be overwhelming and makes my skin a lil angry. I have very sensitive skin though, like I'm allergic to grass. This isn't uncommon issue for me and most people would be ok. So I started only use this repellent on days I wear leggings. I'll order their unscented later in the season.

Worked great in Amazon Rainforest - Insects don't like it
I was pleasantly surprised how well this Ranger Ready Picaridin based product worked (20%). I was on a cruise up the Amazon River to Manaus and the cruise stopped in three ports, plus I spent an extra 3 days in Manaus on my own. I was there in mid-March which is still rainy season. Frankly, the bugs weren't bad at all, which was another surprise, but I always sprayed myself with Ranger Ready before going on hikes or boat rides up the various rivers. And I was amazed at how well it worked - bugs, especially mosquitos which worried me, never got close to me. There is something in the ingredients that simply repel them. The product is super easy to use, especially with this pump spray applicator bottle. And you don't have to over apply and the instructions are clear on that. With the intense sun, I applied sun screen first (as instructed), waited about 15 min then sprayed the Ranger Ready directly on skin. And with this applicator, it only took a couple minutes to apply. And for face and neck, apply to palms of hands and then to face and neck areas and that works well. I never had issues with skin irritation anywhere including the face. It is not oily or greasy feeling at all and dries in a few minutes leaving very minimal residue. I also applied to my hat directly and on socks and shoes for good measure, and never had an issue with any stains or damage to the clothing, and I was wearing the breathable synthetic fabrics which are more likely to damage I think. I am also heavily into photography with professional gear and always worry about damage to camera grips, etc. with some products. This Picaridin does not damage plastics or metals at all. And since it basically dries to the skin, there is minimal transfer of repellant to surfaces anyway. And another plus is the smell/odor. It is actually a fairly pleasant smell except to bugs. Kinda has a peppery scent, which should be of no surprise I guess since it is somehow a derivative of a pepper plant as I recall. I highly recommend this product.
