Beautiful letter box. My door is 40mm so used the smaller of the 2 screws. I'd advice closing the front door with someone holding the outside when you screw it in. This was my 4th choice of letter boxes after 3 failed attempts with cheaper options. I chose this as it was more expensive. It's well worth paying the extra. It's solid, with some weight to it. Its definitely a quality product. After taking the tape off there was a little scratch underneath but you can't really see it, unless inspecting it. We had a red door and decided to paint it black, this finished it off perfectly.

When it arrived I was already impressed by how well made it was and how nice it looked. Ripped out the old broken letterbox and installed this into out upvc door. I used a screwdriver and rounded file (much like a screwdriver but with a file blade instead) Took about 30 minutes to shape and fit the box. Once in it felt sturdy and secure. The two different size screws supplied is a great idea. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend it.

Appears good quality and easy fit

The crome is beautifully finished and excellent quality. It is very sturdy and doesn't flap in the wind. The brushes in the interior prevent draughts. The closing mechanism is good and allows ease of letters etc through the letterbox. I agree with other coments in reviews that you need to measure the original hole in the door when considering size of letterbox you need. The letterbox fit perfectly into the door without any adjustment. I agree that it is easier if 2 people are fitting it, purely because the screws can be fiddley to line up. The screws provided allow for adjustment of fitting according to depth of door. I have a composit door. The screws have little dints in where they can be cut. I used a bolt cutter, but any screw cutting tool could be used or a hack saw with a metal cutting blade. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars as if you're not aware of this, it might cost you to get someone to fit it. Overall, I'm thrilled to bits with it. Would highly recommend

The letterbox was delivered promptly by Amazon. I'd just painted our front door, so thought I'd better replace our old letterbox at the same time. After looking at several letterboxes, we plumped for this one. It fitted perfectly, it was very easy to install. It looks like it fits a range of door sizes. With the internal brush guard, we found it insulates nicely (both weather and noise level). It looks to be made of quality stainless steel, with a good thickness of material used. It works really well, with a reassuring hinge action. I'm very happy with this letterbox. A+
