My almost 3 year old grandaughter loves this and can complete it very quickly with no help. She recognises even the odd shaped pieces and knows exactly where it goes . P1ieces are good quality

The Galt giant floor puzzles are good quality and brilliant. The big sized pieces mean young children can learn to make the puzzle more easily and at an earlier age. They also like the complete animal pieces which they can slot in or play with. I’ve bought a few different Galt giant floor puzzles and my grandchildren love playing with them, initially with me and then independently.

Galt are synonymous with British toymaking. The Galt story started as far back as 1836, when James Galt established an educational stockist in Manchester. The Galt Toys division was founded in Manchester in 1961. Children through the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s grew up with these British made toys. These days, as with many of these brands, manufacturing has shifted to China. Despite this, all of Galt’s products comply with or exceed current toy safety regulations (primarily BS EN71 and HD271/BS EN50088), and all carry the CE mark and the BS5665 Lion Mark. This is good to know as a parent of a young child.What you get in this box, is essentially a child friendly puzzle. This particular puzzle is aimed at ages 3 to 6 years. In the puzzle, there are 30 pieces that make up one puzzle. Once completed, you get one very large animal themed puzzle. The design is great for little ones who are into their animals. There are different animals with images of children measuring their heights. The completed picture is 60 x 90cm. Included is also a height chart to put on your little one’s bedroom wall. Each of the pieces are made from sturdy card. They’re strong, but they will eventually get worn and dog eared. This is the nature of cardboard puzzles unfortunately. Back in the day, these would have been wooden pieces. These days, you’re looking at card. The write up does claim that the pieces are wipe clean. This being the case, it adds a bit of longevity to the toy. The large pieces make this perfect for little hands and this is very much age appropriate.The size and the price of this makes it an ideal birthday party gift, secret Santa gift or stocking filler.
