CFI’s should make this masterpiece a student pilot’s first book.
Barry Schiff hit this book out of the park. Each chapter is beautifully illustrated with color pictures and graphics. The text is comprehensively written for the student pilot that wants above the bar subject excellence. I’ve already purchased 6 and will be giving each of my students this gift of aviation knowledge and wisdom.

Thank you Captain Schiff!
The original version has been passed around my family for the last sixty years. There was no question that the new one would be purchased when we found out about it. Of course, Barry Schiff has done a great job on this edition as well. There is a new pilot growing up in the house and he has now been introduced to Barry Schiff’s useful and direct writing style. He is instantly relatable to pilots of all ages. I hope this one has a sixty year run as well.

Brilliant!
As a flight-instructor it is vital to have your teaching efforts fall on a general fertile ground comprised of disparate items, which build upon each other and build a lattice and create curiosity. Barry Schiff’s book does that, and I look forward giving all my students a copy of that book as a present. A GREAT addition to aviation’s library.

Not what I expected.
Much smaller than expected, basic, not as detailed as I thought it would be.
