PYPABL 450L/H-1500L/H Aquarium Canister Filter, 5W/8W/15W Fish Tank External Filter, Aquarium Hang on Filter with Biochemical Sponge, Ceramic Balls for up to 650L Tank (450L/H

Purchased this filter to use on my UM SHALLOW tank it's a bit over kill for the size of the tank. Having said that it's a great hang on the back filter.

First thing that struck me was the flimsy, low quality plastic. The pump below the filter medium is as cheap as it gets. The plastic clips which hold the filter to the fish tank can hardly support the weight of the unit and soon broke free. The filter didn’t work; I could prime it and get it working for 20 minutes or so but the construction and seals are so poor air soon entered the system causing water circulation to fail. Overall a terrible waste of time and money. I am definitely returning the unit.

After 6 months all I can say its worth it. It is silent powerful and easy to start.

Great it's a good filter system

When it works it’s a great filter but most of the time it doesn’t flow and constantly gets air blockages so have to faff around for ages trying to unhook it and refill… it’s quiet until it gets empty then makes a racket..

I brought one for my front room tank and one for my bedroom tank. They came with different materials? One leaked straight away around the power lead. I sealed it and fine for a week. As soon as I cleaned them noise started also had hardly any flow and could barely clear a 150 litre tank. We now have a small internal filter that cleared the tank in about a hour. Both filters now leak a complete waste of plastics.

The propeller on the pump is not spinning.

Very easy to assemble looks nice in green (opposed to grey) Very quiet (this tank in my bedroom) have anemones on order then once settled few fish will go in.
