Q: as i am a steel i have used knipex for 30 years but i have noticed they go blunt quicker are they being cast in a lower grade steel

I find the same problem, am replacing every 3 months, just put it down to greater load on the jaws

Hi, They could be used for nail pulling but I doubt if it would do the cutting edges much good though. I think that it would be best to buy a pair cheaper nail pulling pliers, they're designed for that job. The Knipex end cutting pliers are made for exactly that purpose, ( End Cutting Wire).
