Sunrise Kitchen Supply Commercial Grade Wok Spatula (Shovel 15.50" (#3))

I got #3 (15.5in) because I thought the #2 (17in) might be a little awkward in my kitchen. I love the size, and the quality is terrific. Just be aware that apparently every size uses the same metal part and different length wooden handles - I expected this one to have more wood based on the photos from the seller. As you can see, my hand still grips the metal - not a problem, it didn't get hot, but still seemed odd. I'll get used to it. Also, the Amazon button says "16.75in" but this is 15.5in as per the description. Make sure your wok is well-seasoned - a few spots that aren't seasoned enough got some scratches with a tiny bit of burring, but nothing to worry about, I think they will wear out over time. I do like this size for indoors, but I'll probably get the #2 when I move my wok setup outdoors in a few weeks. Overall a very solid feel, well-made, just don't be surprised if the pictures don't match the product you receive.

This wok chuan has held up for the time being. The joints between the shaft and spatula part could of been “cleaner” and had a smoother transition when they grinded the weld down. This doesn’t impact how well it works and is merely aesthetic. I ordered this one because I wanted a longer handle and it was one of cheaper available options. Also for those that complained about the handle. It was clearly stated that the handle is designed to be “replaceable” should it need to be. Basically you can hammer in a new peice of wood with the proper diameter.

too bad folks are leaving bad ratings because of the handle. those wooden inserts are meant to be replaceable. you can very easily make them permanent if needed. say.. a little dab of gorilla glue or something similar. or just oil it and pat it in on the counter... that will keep it until the oil dries out. then just do it again every few months. main thing is these are actually hand made out of heavy guage steel, welded, ground, and polished. not assembly line press-outs. these are hand fabricated.

Great for the price. I bought another for a spare. The stainless is very heavy and smooth, I wash it manually as the handle may not survive long oin the dishwasher. The handle can fall out, so I make sure it's tight before and after use. I screwed an eye hook in the end of the handle and it hangs on a wall rack with tongs, spoons & etc. Shovel is a 5 star, handle lowers it overall to a 4 star..

The "spade" is great, but the handle not so much, I could whittle a better handle, and I probably will have to soon.
