There are likely other ways of doing this, maybe not being so lazy or forgetful but all I can say is that so far, I am happy I bought it. The stand fits perfectly, it's even got a little key that goes in a slot I'd never noticed before on the bottom of the computer so it only fits one way around. It's definitely helping airflow, the computer is running at 29 degrees C, whereas it was a few degrees warmer before. The stand also holds the computer to the desk much better, so I can plug things into the front ports without having to hold the whole machine down. Overall, I'm fully happy with this buy. Also, it was nice to be able to run cables under the Mac rather than around it, which this allows.
